I'll never look at paper, cloth or rusty bits the same ever again! Wow, they are truly stunning! Watching this has bought back very distant memories of letter writing days and me thinking that paper was so boring would tea and coffee dye it. I'm reinvigorated and feel like my world has expanded beyond my wildest dreams. It is, as they say, the little things that count! Fabulous tutorial and I just loved hearing your excitement as you discovered what you'd created, awesome. Thank you so much 💜

Wow !!! First, thank you so much for taking the time to do these videos for us. Between Part One and Part Two, it has obviously taken you days and many many many hours to collect all of the materials/tools to do this, and to then do the tea and rust dyeing and then to rinse and dry everything and then to shoot the videos and later edit them....... my goodness...... you have been busy. I want you to know how much I appreciate the time you take with all of your videos. You are greatly appreciated for your thoughfulness and thoroughness. I learn so much from each video. Second - oh my goodness Everything came out beautifully - the apron, the fabric scraps, the threads and the papers. Wow!!!! Gorgeous. my oh my........

She is working with black oxide here and that is much safer. Tetanus can thrive in the same environments that create rust. Also, if you are trying to create rust with vinegar and peroxide, the combination creates a toxic mix.

One thing I am eternally grateful for is that I take great pleasure in admiring the tiny details of paper and cloth when treated (or eco printed) as you have done. This is even though I’ve been using these techniques for years. The ‘surprise’ of what I will find is always wondrous. I wondered about wrapping the threads around some of the smoother rusty bits for some variegation. Lovely videos and channel for the gentle, creative soul.

I was most amazed with the patterned/coloured fabric and how it toned it down. I have no fabric stash and just found a lovely company who send 1 kilo of scraps for a nominal fee. I am really pleased with it but a lot is rather bright. We all know what I shall be up to this weekend, can't wait to see the results.

They are all delicious! I haven’t done much with my dye pot this past year but I will get back to it soon. Thank you for the great tutorial - everyone has their own twist on things ,always something to be learned.

They are fantastic I’m liking them with the tea and coffee more than the vinegar ❤

Love it! I have a friend who rust dyes cloth. She used large gears and other industrial objects. Quite lovely and inspiring, even just the tea dyeing. I am big on over dying with pastel aqua & peony type colors but I totally dismissed tea color. Thank you! So pretty. 🌸🌿

I really enjoyed that!! And I will definitely have a go at dying paper when temperatures get a bit warmer. Tea and cloth are not new to me. I save my used teabags and throw them in a tin with some damp cloth pieces. And after a day or 2 rinse and dry the cloth. Herbal, black, green or rooibos all leave different tones. Love your work, thank you for showing us all the pretties!!❤

I do tea and rust dying but never the two together. Wonderful results! Also did not know about using baking soda to neutralize after. Thank you!
