Hello @stinky! The SHAME is not w/the Founding Fathers values but those of Americans today. I explain in a post at the top of this Boston Tea Party as to not only aspects of our gov today that is destroying it from within, but bcuz We-The- People are NOT PAYING ATTENTION, as our own SILENCE is COMPLICITY! Please make an effort to return to this post and (as this post is not inundated with responses), mine may still be near the top. In defense of Americans (and your sentiments) we were never well educated as the comment heard more and more frequently is this: "Yeah, we are all being dumbed down." For those of us who re-read the Constitution, Bill of Rights and Declaration of Independence as ADULTS we STILL can't appreciate it like we should, and that is the fault of our teachers whose hands are tied as to how efficacious they want to be (the really dedicated ones) bcuz THEY were never taught America's history like it SHOULD, nay ... M-U-S-T be! Fortunately, there is a book I refer John Q Public to, an 894 pg crash course in our Nation's REAL HISTORY NONE OF US WERE TAUGHT: GOVERNMENT BY CONSENT by John Darash, 2021 found at: www.NationalLibertyAlliance.org. Advice? Also, get a copy of BLACKS LAW DICTIONARY to grasp the 'legalese' in Darash's book as it took 20 yrs research that folks who live their nation need only need to understand events and how imperative WE ALL HELP CORRECT WHAT HAPPENED WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE OR (as the book's title infers) CONSENT! Hope you will make an effort to educate yourself now, if not for the sake of our country, then for the sake of your family or children when they look up to you and ask: 'WHAT DID YOU TRY TO DO ABOUT THIS?"

Read a book. Boston elites didn’t want english tea flooding the market thus making tea prices go down because of surplus. It would affect their earnings. England was willing to take a massive loss on the tea just to get rid of it. This was about price gouging from the Boston elites.
@historybuff66 Жыл бұрын
Well you may have read something but you’re wrong. The British crown wanted to aid the ailing East India Company in the wake of Colonists procuring less expensive routes to obtaining tea, not the least of which was by smuggling operations. The tea tax would have ultimately LOWERED the price of tea from the EIC, albite enjoying a monopoly. The bigger issue was Colonist resentment of appointed politicians, especially the Boston Governor, being on payroll of the British monarchy, solidifying an allegiance that much by way of a tea tax.
@Georgedunkin7473 Жыл бұрын
@@historybuff66 all true. The only people benefiting from this were the Boston elites who wanted to have a monopoly to price gouge the colonies themselves.
