Did you pick up some of the French language by working at the camps?

Yes!

Jamie, According to yr presentation, it's practically impossible to get an English summer camp job in Spain, etc. on a 'tourist visa' if you're North American, i.e. Canadian or American, even if you were an English "auxiliar de conversacion on a 'student visa' in SP & that visa expires June 1st & camps don't usually start until after, but u could stay for another 3 months on a 'tourist visa'. Correct?

The camp that I worked at in Spain requires a work visa, but other camps may not. I worked at American Village in France since it only requires a tourist visa until I got my work papers in Spain through an international school. Here’s a blog post with some other camps in Spain you could look into. www.sunshineandsiestas.com/2016/04/25/guiri-101-a-crash-course-on-how-to-find-summer-work-in-spain/ It definitely takes some patience and persistence to find a camp position, but it’s worth it. Also check the Aux Facebook pages - people usually post camp positions on those. Best of luck!

How to find those camp to go but not to teach?

As a camper? Each camp has an official website.

Hey , I’m just wondering what the interview was like for working at these camps?
@ESLTeacher365 Жыл бұрын
Pretty basic. They just want to see if you have experience with children. However, AmVil and the Spanish camp I worked at require EU working rights. If you want to do a summer camp in Spain or Portugal that can help with the visa, check out GoCampSpain.

Wow this is interesting. Could you advise me on preparing materials beforehand for American Village? Do you think I should bother planning lessons ahead?
@ESLTeacher3652 жыл бұрын
These days they provide a ton of lesson planning materials so it’s not necessary. You also won’t know which age group you have until you get there. Have you been accepted to work there?

Most camps are looking for native English speakers. It’s helpful to know some of the language, but not usually required.
