Although schools prefer young and enthusiastic teachers, age is not a bar in UAE. This applies to govt school too. Let’s say should be below 60 for a non impact response.

I'm 34 years old. I have a kid. So basically I've changed my career from physiotherapy to teaching which is rare but I am truly passionate about teaching so it was a big call. My undergraduate degree is B.P.T. which is a 4 year course. Fortunately, I got a B.Ed seat and completed my 2 year B.Ed. course (Science) regular from Mumbai University. Since then I'm teaching primary in an ICSE school which is reputed and I've gained plenty of skills. @@StringsNStrokes Also, to add to it I had gone for a GEMS recruitment drive in 2019 when I was in my final sem of B.Ed. It happened through my B.Ed. college where they told me to go for a second round in J.W.Mariott where these guys had come for their recruitment drive. So the interviewer was quite pleased with my profile. 11 students out of the 15 students from my college got selected and are now part of GEMS, sadly I couldn't get through. However, they did sent an email mentioning I'm part of their talent pool. I would like to know whether GEMS reconsider candidates from their talent pool or whether it's a polite way to deny a job opportunity. Please reply... Thanks...

After school tutoring is illegal. Salary only increases at the time of contract renewal. And the percentage depends on the employer.

Hi Curious Cat! Please find my responses below as per the serial numbera of your questions- 1. Science is a core subject here therefore you would need a teaching qualifications. Having said that, in UAE some schools do hire teachers without a teaching qualification which is going to be almost over because of the licensure process. 2. This offer in Maldives can be considered of you have not got any response in UAE as this would get you an International experience which can be useful. Make sure while you work in this school, you do an iPGCE. 3.That gets me to the third point. Please look at TES institute's website, university of nottingham and university of east london's website to know more about iPGCE. This is an acceptable qualification worldwide. I highly recommend this to any teacher who cannot visit UK to do this course.

Schools would be closed for teachers and students but the admin would still be working for shorter hours. You can apply if you find a vacancy, however by this time the recruitment is generally done.

Will go through all the videos and if okay with you both will pick your brain on some real life issues: like preschool/nursery is advisable for 4-year old or should one put kids in main schools. Are schools/nurseries at walking distance from some good residential neighbourhoods et all. In India Kg-1 and kg-2 are clubbed these days but in Singapore they are not. I assume in Dubai it’s not clubbed with KG-1 known as FS-2 or something. Sorry, it’s better I watch all the videos and reach out separately.

Is pgctl better or pgcei ? Is suraasa a good option for the future for an international diploma ? Or is it better getting a B Ed from an Indian university ? Please advice

Pgctl is approved a course for UAE and PGCEi from an accredited university is accepted globally. It depends on what your long term plans are and if PGCEi is available in your country of residence.

Hello sister just to know i have done my BA and MA(English) via correspondence and B ED in REGULAR right now working in a CBSE school from the past 5years. So will I be eligible to apply.

Hello Rovina, your case can be slightly tricky. Although you have a regular degree but I guess the subject that you teach should also be a regular.
