9:54 - You had asked whether Jinjer has any women fans, and I can confirm that! In In fact, I went to see them in concert when their tour came through Dallas in September. (They put on a killer show!) Oh, and some other quick thoughts- 1:40 - Just as a side thing, since the Wacken festival is in Germany, the locals would pronounce it like “Vah-cken” since in German, “W” is pronounced like the “V” in English. 4:42 - If you’re into drumming, I can 100% vouch for checking out “Bleed” from Meshuggah-you’ll love it. (If you check it out, you may as well go for the live drumcam version, which is titled “Meshuggah - Bleed - Tomas Haake - Wincent Drumsticks”. (And since most people aren’t quite sure how to pronounce “Haake”: That’s pronounced roughly “How-kuh”.) 8:05 -I realize that it was just allergies, but just to say, it’s also totally okay to cry. Ain’t nothing wrong with that. 8:22 - You mentioned about checking out their lyrics, and I if perhaps you had wanted to keep the lyrics open in a separate browser tab, I think that could work. But I wouldn’t recommend watching lyric videos over standard music videos if only because I think that music videos-whether live or produced-are an art form of both visuals and sound. And if you were to watch a video in which someone had replaced the visuals from the official video with lyrics against a black screen, I think you’d kinda lose a lot from the experience.

I’m Swedish and from the same city as the Meshuggah lads and I think Haake is pronounced more like ”haw-keh” rather than ”how-keh”. I’m not sure though. It’s an unusual name.

You can always listen and record and do the editing and release later. :) I totally support including the lyrics in some fashion. As to female fans, it probably depends on the culture of the areas the videos are being recorded to make that. Both the U.S. shows I've seen them at had a lot of ladies in the crowd and pushing up to the front row. There are a bunch of great options for next stops. I'd suggest Who Is Gonna Be The One official live, I Speak Astronomy official, or the Outlander video uploaded by Failure .Color which has live footage from Best Ukranian Metal with studio sound.

a lot of people misunderstand the lyrics of this specific song, which is why it's good to check the lyrics out and see the meaning of it before watching. the actual meaning of this specific track can be anything you make it - but it is in reality to call out people who point fingers and preach about things without any knowledge about it, or those who try to force others to think specific things. i might not be 100% right, but that's how i remember it. i think that the lyrics are well written and very deep. great reaction to a great song by the way. :)

So here we are again, man... I suggest you to listen this song even more now, off-camera. In "Teacher Teacher" Tatiana created a perfect showcase of everything her talented voice can do: darkest growls and the most suave clean voice and all the ups and down with that smooth going upper places, high and higher and higher! The more I listen to her, and I do that a lot, the more glimpses I get of her mastery of her voice, those switches and those smooth transitions are a journey that has started and never ever ends. Now, man... I'm here again, I'm not stalking you , alright? I'm just on a mission. I told you. You cannot escape this... you cannot escape Otep Shamaya and her band. As I already said... I'm quite sure there wouldn't have been any Jinjer without OTEP. they are two different things but at the same time they are connected and you cannot flee, ma'man! I'm perseverant, you see? While asking yourself why... just pick up any of these official videos {some are official lyrics videos, with lyrics perfectly put as part of each video itself} and every good reason for doing so will disclose to you like a precious treasure: "Apex Predator" {"Hydra" album} "In Cold Blood" {"Generation Doom"} "Molotov" {"KULT 45"} "Shelter In Place" {"KULT 45"} "To The Gallows" {"KULT 45"} If you wanna start from the origins {which are really challenging, man.... not easy for reacting to Otep} with a the "Sevas Tra" album! Enjoy!

check out meshuggah - bleed (drum cam) He is one of the most talented and respected drummers out there. Its definitely a bit heavier than most of the stuff on your channel but certainly worth it. He plays insane offset poly rhythms with his feet while maintaining a 4/4 time with his hands that slow progress into absolute madness. Its not flashy but if you watch and listen to the kick pedals you'll realize how freaking tough that would be to play. The drummers name is Tomas Haake and he had to completely relearn his approach to drumming to learn this song.

You should check out stuff from their newest album Macro to see how their sound has grown...even though Teacher, Teacher is from early 2019. I recommend their newest video "Retrospection". It's about how the band is constantly touring (they played 152 shows on 6 continents in 2019) and they miss their parents in Ukraine...but then they can't even visit them because they're stuck in the Russian occupied East.

I've never been the type of person who gets caught up in song meanings or lyrics, but this one got to me. When she says "Please teacher teacher, leave us alone, as we accept life lessons from no one"... put that in context with the general meaning of the song, roughly about all these people who think they know everything despite zero experience. This really hit home. I am anti-social media for this reason. Just gave WAY too many people an outlet to tell you what to do when they have no clue, be that the government, the wealthy, self-proclaimed "influencers," etc. I love that line, as I consider it an "STFU" to them!

"Good evening, kids, take your seats Open up your Bibles I'm gonna chastise some rivals So keep your eyes wide open The young soul lost control Make your first foul This is my duty to set the bounds" She grabbed my hand Took me in, placed me in front of the class She gave a hint I was the clown of the class I'm in the middle of the Holy of Holies I have no worries I saw dusty icons on the wall I saw needles and stones So she put a paper bag on my head She pointed finger at me, and then she said "Dear Lord, forgive me as I'm slapping, slapping Slapping this sinful child By your hand I'm led so I will show, show What is wrong and what is right Choose your label 'cause I'm mercy, mercy, merciful Put your knuckles on the table Meet my friend Pharoah who'll punish you When their prejudice let us down We stand firmly on our ground Don't let their school make a fool of you Because the teachers may be fools too When their prejudice let us down We stand firmly on our ground Don't let their school make a fool of you Because the teachers may be fools too Laws chalked on the blackboard Can't be erased until it gets boring The lady spoke and then she choked On her convictions oh so alluring She made a pause in her verbal overdose My paper bag slipped down on the floor I took a look around, there was no sanctuary Desks empty, the school was all imaginary, ah Teacher, teacher! Self-proclaimed preacher Under the flag of welfare Your lectures start to blare We need no soap shoved down our throats So keep your monologues unrated and remote I am a bad example of order This life is not a prison and you are not a warden Please teacher, teacher!
