I really appreciate your addressing our emotions. At least one of the two involved needs to stay cool and not take disobedience personally. You are a great role model to learn from!

I love your patience and your stress on patiencr and consistency... I never heard of anybody lunging with the bit instead of the halter so I found that quite interesting. It was just a great video Thank you

I have been working my older mare and also my young gelding on this certain exercise and I am happy to report that my old mare stood quietly today while I got on and off. I had to luge her around the mounting block just once today. This method really works and I will continue to do it for a while to get it ingrained in their minds but it was so much nicer to step up quietly and sit on her as opposed to being part way on and getting the rest of the way in the saddle while she is off and moving ( swiftly I might add).

I love your videos, they have helped me with alot of things and showed me the rite way to accomplish what I am doing, now if I can just get her to stop running full out when I lunge her that will be wonderful. Thanks for your videos looking forward to your next one.

Thank you for watching. Dont try to slow her down when lunging just about every 2nd or 3rd lap change directions. That will get her thinking more about turning and less about running fast.

I have used this same method to get my mare to stand still while I trim her feet. Give her a choice between going in circles or standing still. She eventually figured out that standing still was easier. We’ll see in a few weeks how much she remembers.
