I posted a vid of what actually happened to a friend's timeline where a big outrage session was happening. My friend who had been moderate up until then called the MAGA hat the kid was wearing a hate symbol on par with the swastika. He then proceeded to delete all my posts proving them wrong, said he unfriended me and was cheered on by his comrades as a hero for cleansing his list of filth such as me. He hesitated in actually unfriending me, but did it a few weeks later. When George Floyd happened and protests were going on, I posted something that said I thought we should prioritize the pandemic and the possibility of causing a second wave in the US which could kill another 100k people. I said that while police brutality is an issue, only about 9 unarmed black men die per year in USA out of millions of police encounters and I thought 100k people should take priority. A cousin of mine called me straight up racist, and that he hoped 100k more deaths would force change. Unfriended.

One issue I think we have in modern society is that when people read newspapers (even if online, probably worse if it's online) is that opinion pieces get mistaken for actual news, or are taken as the viewpoint of the news outlet as a whole. Demanding evidence also isn't anybody 'trying to make light of it' or 'sweep it away'...its simply a request to provide verifiable, concrete proof that what is being presented is fact. To teach something that is void is verifiable fact would be irresponsible, and I'm glad this man has the mental clarity to think this issue through before he just started teaching it. We all know as adults that what we learned about history as a kid is - at best - half the story. My uncle was a priest that worked out of the residential school in Kamloops, I knew him as nothing but a great man, tough as nails but kind to everyone. He wasn't there day to day but he wouldn't have tolerated child abuse or neglect. My dad grew up in Kamloops, he had friends in the residential school through Air Cadets, never heard about any abuse. Any details I have heard about abuse in the school sound exactly like my dad's stories going to regular public school. I grew up in Abbotsford and am disgusted with District 34.

The teacher gave him the evil eye when he was reading through the cards after being handed back to him. A survivor, I spent 6 long years in a 'Priest and Bro ridden' residential high school in northern Ontario. All types were there. Locals, 'out of towners' like Indian-Metis & tiny town boys from the further north, including wayward city slickers like myself & even a smattering of 'Latinos', sent there for the quality of the education and strict discipline that eased greatly with time and maturity. In retrospect, it was one of the best experiences of my life and an educational opportunity I only regret not having taken more advantage of. One thing I’ve learned about many teachers, and having been one myself, is that it tends to be the lowest common denominator of jobs. Any degree at all plus maybe two years of actual teaching instruction and you’re certified. Most of the degrees attained are low level arts programs that do not provide salable or useful skills, taught around social justice themes where you tie the line or you’re fired. When you get to the workplace, you are in an environment where you regurgitate all the crap or you don’t get along and you don’t work. These are people who never really had any career planning and end up in this position, where they are finally accepted, as long as they push the narrative. They certainly aren’t expected to teach the kids how to think, but rather what to think. Poor kids. It’s been going on for so long there may be no way out.

I remember my time in elementary school back in the 1960s. One day the principal/teacher of my class informed us children that according to scientists, if all industrial air pollution didn't end, all life on Earth would come to an end in 20 years. 20 years was all we had left. I told my dad because I was scared by what he said, and he informed me that the teacher was exaggerating, he just wanted to teach social responsibility to us kids. So the next day I told my teacher/principal what he had told me. I'll never forget, he stood above me, all 6 foot 6, arms crossed and said, "Your father is wrong, we only have 20 years left or we're all going to die!" Also Every piece of styrofoam is a CFC by nature and to get to that form it must be a gas and a liquid. Polyurethane is produced by injecting CFCs into a liquid mass of plastic polymer. The Paint section of a local hardware store should suffice as a place to further investigate products with CFCs. It's still being used and only an agreement in Canada tried to stop it but it was over the course of a 50 year period starting in 1987. The 1980s talk of the Ozone Layer isn't even talked about anymore or the Acid Rain that was coming by the late 1990s. Because in the 1970s it was a coming little ice age and global cooling but by the 1990s it was global warming, now they realize neither of those were accurate so they use an all encompassing term climate change so it can be whatever they want it to be. Climate science is an industry no different from oil companies. People will say and do whatever is necessary to keep their job or status and scientists are no different. If you really want to help the environment plant 10 trees or more if you can on your property. Trees need Carbon and convert it to oxygen which is the best defense against any carbon based dangers that may arise. But take the time to investigate these things for yourself. Cheers!

As a public high-school teacher in the lower-mainland, I appreciate the words from this strong man. He is absolutely correct. I have decided not to enroll my son to public school and have found an alternative for him. The scariest thing is there is no leadership, its like the blind leading the blind. Principals and district principals seem to jump on any of the new narratives that come out in media. There is no discourse or fact-checking. I have heard in a pro-d event that the libraries will now be removing any books that hold 'Christian-like' values. The worst part is, the kids really have been indoctrinated by all of this. They believe all of it, and why wouldn't they? There is no room for discussion or debate anymore.

Forcing to LIE is exactly what this is. Like calling a guy a woman. Firing someone for political reason is an act of violence - a threat to their sustenance, the whole reason for the coercive attempt. It should be charged as that. A direct attack on the life of the person who would not lie.

That is just awful. That is a great teacher! The truth is that it's the parents fault for not knowing what's going on at their children's schools. And if they do know they just don't want to get involved, or speak out. People are just cowards. SHAME!
