My ex's mother was like this when her brothers were in school (she's dead now). Her mother would sleep with their friends when they visited. My ex talked like it was normal in every home. Totally blew me away because they all seemed normal (I only knew her for about a year at the time). I told her that her mother sleeping with her brother's friends is definitely not normal, and probably not legal. She actually responded with "What's wrong with that?". I asked if she ever experienced anything like that growing up. The conversation immediately ended and the end of the relationship soon followed. She's very stubborn and secretive. This stuff happens a lot more than we know.

When I was a child, about 6-7, we had an after school club where a woman would come in and teach us about "Stranger Danger" and how to keep safe. One thing that has always stuck in my mind for all these years was being told back then that if we're lost to run to a lady, particularly one with children, and tell *them,* the implication being that women were safer then men. That was social conditioning but as I've grown I've learnt it to be a complete falsehood. Evil towards children has no gender. Boys back then just weren't taken seriously if they were hurt by a woman. It happened to my best friend when he was a child and it messed him up. These children deserve justice and healing for what this creature has done 🙏❤

@SpiritedSoul1986 ask any of my grown children. They did not feel stifled, and were not molested. My baby sister was (g)raped at 15 years old staying the night at a friend's house. No sir, no ma'am. That's a cop out response as well. My husband and I were not afraid to parent. Our kids were not our friends, and we were not trying to score brownie points. But whatever!
@SpiritedSoul198624 күн бұрын
@peggyhardman1958 Also, some kids have their abusers right under their roof so it's not fair to only blame strangers. In fact, I've heard that SA is more likely to come from a family member than a stranger. Not always. Have you never heard people say the "creepy uncle" thing. Its very much a thing. Creepers lurk everywhere, not just at friend's houses.
@peggyhardman195824 күн бұрын
@SpiritedSoul1986 I agree about family members. But I still didn't allow sleep overs for my kids. My adult kids don't feel like they missed out on anything. They went to many parties, but slept in their own beds. I have many friends who feel as I do. We will just have to agree to disagree. 🤷🏾♀️

It’s grooming, too - kids that age are not old enough to make that decision, it’s the R word even if they seem “willing” or don’t physically fight it off, or even if they exchange pictures & texts, it’s still the R word - the kids aren’t responsible for any of it. This woman should go to jail for a very long time.

Yep. Back in the day, my teacher invite me for a "Movie" night with her son, when I showed up, she said he was in his Karate class and she forgot about it. So I said I'd go home but she insisted for me to go in and watch a movie with her and she made brownies. So I went in...I ate brownies, she set up the DVD player and put the DVD, and sat right beside me... I thought she was just being nice. But ohhh boy, we weren't watching X-Men. It was xxx and I had a weird reaction down there and she started fondling. She said I was cute .. I said thanks. ...and That was it. You know what happened. I got addicted to going back to her place after school. It's common than you think. This is just getting more revealed because the police now has more access to your private information than ever...without a warrant.

When I was 15, I was kicked out of my parent's home, and went to stay at my friend's home. After a few weeks of staying there, on one of my PA days, my friend's 44-year-old mom stayed home from work. Once her daughter and my friend left for school (they were in the Catholic school board, I was in Public) she sat with me at the breakfast table, started telling me how alone she was, how her husband doesn't pay attention to her anymore, how cute she thought I was and then placed her hand on my upper thigh, with her fingers brushing my junk. I stood up, went to my room, packed my backpack and left. I never had the guts to even tell my friend about it. I just went zero contact.
