That's an excellent question, Retro Whims! We need to check in with Leanne to make sure, but we believe she picked them up at the Portland Flower Market, which is our local wholesale floral market. Would you ask the bride what type of flowers she likes, even if I told her there’s no guarantee? Or should I still stick to only selling a color palette?

That is such an important question, AB, and such a good one too! It's always good to ask about favorite flowers as long as there is an understanding that you aren't promising those. Knowing more about the wedding couple will help you select the best blooms for them and know what kinds of substitutions you can make as well. So yes, do ask the question to get a better understanding of the person and what they love. For example, one person might love big showy blooms while another prefer small delicate petite flowers. One person might enjoy a bouquet with fragrance while another wouldn't like that at all. The more information you gather, the better you will be able to work.
