I love that your school allows you to wear what you like. I work for schools that are a bit more strict with dress code. But not too strict. Just no jeans unless it’s jeans day. I started a new job in May and we were able to wear jeans and a t-shirt and I hated it. Especially the steel toed boots we were required to wear. I couldn’t dress up like I wanted to. I love wearing dresses, leggings, long tunics, etc. That job didn’t work out. Mainly because of other stuff, but now I am back to my old job of substituting and I feel so much more like myself and love that I can go back to wearing my dresses and other cute clothes. Sometimes it just takes doing something different to find out where you are truly meant to be.

Absolutely love the last mantra. I often forget how lucky I am to do the things I do, such as having the opportunity to go to college when many don't. My favorite outfit was the second one but honestly all the outfits were super cute and look like something I would definetely wear hopefully in a few years when I start teaching! Have a great day!

I also have those mules from forever 21! BE CAREFUL WALKING IN THEM because they're so slippery! I slip on normal pavement every time I wear them! currently icing my ankle because of them. will i throw them away though? probably not. they go with everything.

Have you tried scraping up the bottoms with sandpaper? They also have no slip tape that you can put on the bottom. I had to scrape up all my mules because I was sliding all over the place!

Girl the bottom of the heel on these shoes is the slippery part and it is like rock hard plastic not rubber. No piece of sandpaper would scuff them up. I may try like super gluing something to them but idk I'm terrified to walk in them!

At target they sell these little egg shaped things that have a rough bottom and they’re sticky so you can stick them to the bottom of your shoes and it honestly saves your life. I have like 50 of them around my house for my slippy shoes!!

I have short hair, so statement earrings are a go to for me! My 8th graders love them! I also love to wear shades of yellow even though I wouldn’t say it’s one of my favorite colors. I think that’s because I’m a New Orleans Saints fan and that our school colors are gold and blue.

I recently saw your picture on Instagram about mental health, and how you have struggled with anxiety, I think if you are comfortable you should make a video about it. You constantly motivate me to work harder, and to be a better person. I would love to hear from you. I also struggle with anxiety and I think it’s so important to share your story. Britt, you’re killing me. In a good way. I’m a paraeducator in a preschool classroom. Due to the needs of the kiddo I work with anything I wear needs to be comfortable & flowy or stretchy. Also, it shouldn’t be something I care too much if it gets ruined. Also, I live in northern Iowa & I’ve worn fleece lined leggings under a dress with a thick cardigan & boots more than once because we’re going on week three that it’s been too cold to wear anything else. So, thank you for giving me another dress I need to buy that’ll look somewhat decent with leggings underneath. I hate dress pants, but they’re the only pants I’m allowed to wear. 💆🏻‍♀️

I’m currently working on my bachelors for early childhood education and when I’m shopping earrings I’m always like “will my future students think these are fun” so I’ve been building my collection of fun earrings , and so far I have a pac man set of earrings for when I teach “greater than less than concept” and I have some festive looking ones for special occasions.
