So about $6,000 difference? Then factor in taxes, he's probably no worse than he was teaching if Costco took him on fulltime.

Two months of summer work is an extra $4,000 so a starting teacher is probably making 10k more per year than a person starting at Costco. Add in the fact that teachers end up making 80k after twenty years of working there is more potential.
