@@whitebroccoli694 Large dip? Costco will start you at $17/hr and bennies after 90ish days I think. What's a first year public school teacher making in a typical school? $38,500 - $40,000? So about $6,000 difference? Then factor in taxes, he's probably no worse than he was teaching if Costco took him on fulltime.

Two months of summer work is an extra $4,000 so a starting teacher is probably making 10k more per year than a person starting at Costco. Add in the fact that teachers end up making 80k after twenty years of working there is more potential.

Crowd work is when you ask what they do for a living or if they had a threesome or if they're also getting fat. Sometimes you mix two of those to amplify the comedic effect. It only works if you're wearing cool sneakers and hip t-shirt though.

That’s not surprising in the least. According to the teachers I know, what was already pretty thankless job became nigh intolerable. Having to produce all that online content, police kids remotely, enforce highly politicized safety standards… and all did the same low wages. I couldn’t do it. And now, a major political party in this country wants to erase history, pretend queer people don’t exist, and give parents the power to micromanage every aspect of public school.
