I’m in the area, too. While this was mildly amusing, I believe the movie has a PG-13 rating, and this occurred at an elementary school. I worked for CCSD, and two of my children attended school in the district. A parent permission slip was always sent home regarding any age restricted media, and often for even historical/controversial educational entertainment. He’s the principal. I agree he can’t be in every classroom 100% of the time, but his job is to ensure a safe work and learning space, and help staff and students achieve their educational goals. A teacher showing a PG 13 horror movie in music class, but the kids have poor grades? How about putting those students in a class where they might be able to receive some tutoring or computer lab time? The principal’s cya attitude was more than a bit unprofessional. Funny, yes, but unprofessional. Just my opinions.
