It's the miracle of the holy Quran that changes people's beliefs, no matter who reads it, they could be from anywhere in the world, remember the holy Quran was meant for all mankind, and to become one belief in monotheism and one Allah, in the last 25 yrs Islam has grown so much that many other people of different faiths have been converted, proves that something is true about Islam and the holy Quran....mashalla it's good news that Mexico population is also following the true religion, may Allah guide them all to the religion of peace, ameen....

I see faces of some of the well-known Islamic Scholars such as Sheik Hamza Yusuf and Abdul Hakim Murad. They are all American Citizens who converted to Islam many years ago and who went all the way to study in the Middle East the Arabic language and the Quran ,Hadiz, Islamic Jurisdiction (Fiqh) and many more.

Thank You My dear Brother Bill , for such a nice discussion about Islam. It is illuminating. yes I agree the translation of the Qur'an by Mohammad Asad ( A son of a Jewish Rabbi ) who became a Muslim and even translated the Qur'an is one of the best. The next best though is not by Sells as per my understanding, it is the Meaning of the glorious Qur'an , translated by Mohammad Marmaduke Pickthal, he too was a son of a British clergy, and be became a Muslim and translated the Qur'an too. So beautifully well done. He was a Journalist , Novelist and a great human being.

I do suggest doing some research.. the proof that many people are converting to islam may be proof that there is something interesting in this religion that attracts millions every year.. you will be surprised that many of them would have said exactly what you have said in your comment here. I wish you good luck :) Kindly

umm so all these millions of people who are converting after doing their research and going into months if not years of soul searching are wrong ? these are scholars who's intelligence level is pretty impressive to be quite honest. there is nothing in the Quran that talks about not befriending jews and christians. anything you read in English is an interpretation of the Quran not a translation ( big difference ). also nothing was stolen from Judaism or christianity, because the source is the same. the Quran is here because of the alterations and additions that were added to the previous books and Allah has promised to preserve this one. I can read your response ( and I don't mean to be rude here ) that your response is not based on facts or research, it's barely headlines without much depth into the matter. maybe a little anger and prejudice especially in the last 2 lines. don't judge the religion from the actions of people, invest sometime and seek help, go to a mosque with questions or even connect with a convert who was where you are today. Good luck

I see that you go back to committing the same mistakes of judging the acts of people and attributing them to islam. islam does not teach violence and I will defend that, there many political reasons that you are not factoring in here the imbalance of the US foreign policy overseas, and it being one sided. the blank check when it comes to armament of one side over the other, it keeps people confused and in stress, so when a loss of life, some muslims don't really know how to act. ( I am not for any loss of life ) but neither me nor you probably have lived in those people's shoes so it would be prudent not to judge just based on what you see from the surface. ( which is the mistake you often make just based on your responses here ). I go back to the word you use " befriending " and claiming that I have not read my own book, which is absurd, but arabic is a language that is not easy to translate, maybe you have to make a serious effort into learning more about the religion, because so far you just seem to be very angry at it and you can't have good judgement when you are angry at something :) maybe the word that is referred to is the brotherly relationships and how they can only be between muslims, and this is something much deeper then friendship. look at your contact list on your phone, you may have 100 or 200 or 500 contacts, maybe 60% or 70% you maybe think of them as your friends ( but are they really ? lol ). how much can you count on them and to what level ) in islam someone called brother in the faith has an obligation to keep an eye on me if I go astray and check on me and how strong my faith is, because if it is on a healthy status, I will benefit and he will benefit and the rest of the society will benefit ( regardless of place, here in the west or the east ). I will agree with you, many muslims dont live islam and their daily dealings are very reactionary and emotional and sometimes lack reasoning. I am sorry about your experience in the khutba, I am impressed that you know many words in arabic and maybe you can continue to learn with an open mind.

I just wished that you wouldn't put words in my mouth. your first two lines are very offensive, but I will stay clear from responding to it. you continue to make mistakes of not knowing in which context the verse was mentioned and to address what issue at the time. and the word friend is not accurate in Quranx. your anger is not going to help you achieve anything, especially in faith. if you want to share what you lived through go ahead, and being muslim these days in anything but safe. if the smart and educated people are converting to islam, why aren't you giving it a chance ?

(Pt 29:11) jw.org images.app.goo.gl/oe2EkfdL89XFCZkT8

so Islam came from a man could not read or write and only spoke what he heard so just bear with me and pick up a Quran; so this could mean what John 16:13 spoke about when jesus says when the spirit of Truth will come he will guide you to all truth! All Scholars lead to Islam.

If you love non-muslims and they are so special, why do they have dhimmi status? How does making someone a second class citizen display love for "people of the book".

If ppl only studied world religions seriously bfr labeling Islam as "fundamentalist" or "backward", thy wud c the truth, as beautifully put by this sister, that Islam is the extension of the same Abrahamic religion as Jewism & Christianity. The hair covering observed by Muslim women is ordained in Jewism & Christianity too. Infact Islam is less strict in certain things than other religions. We need to study things for ourselves instead of succombing to false propoganda in r ignorance.
