Lumbini, located in Nepal, is one of the most significant pilgrimage sites for Buddhists from around the world. It is the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama, who later became known as Lord Buddha after attaining enlightenment.
Our teachers went on a trip to Lumbini to explore and learn about Buddhism's roots and the teachings of Lord Buddha. During the trip, the teachers visited the sacred grounds where Lord Buddha was born and spent his childhood. They explored the Mayadevi temple, the Ashoka pillar, and the Sacred Garden, where they learned about the stories and legends associated with the life of Lord Buddha. They also participated in meditation and prayer sessions. All our teachers were mesmerized to see the different monasteries, lakes, and structures in Lumbini. The teachers found the experience to be enlightening and enriching. They returned home with a greater understanding and appreciation of the Buddhist teachings and their impact on the world.
Overall, the teachers' pilgrimage to Lumbini was a transformative experience, providing them with an opportunity to connect with their inner selves and understand the true essence of Buddhism. The journey not only enriched their personal lives but also empowered them to spread the message of peace, harmony, and unity through their teachings.
