This magnificent song, with such deep and touching lyrics, was written by Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits in 1982 and is still their great success. The Home Free version is wonderful.

Your thoughts were perfect! There is a special kind of magic with Home Free. One minute they can make you feel uplifted, patriotic, encouraged, have you rolling on the floor laughing and then crying with depth of emotions. I feel so lucky I found them and so grateful they exist. It sounds cliche, but they changed my life. I wish them nothing but success, whatever that looks like to them and I hope they are here creating music for very long time. Thank you for your wonderful heartfelt reaction. I enjoy you ladies very much!!!! Have a wonderful day.

Sometimes, the sheer power and beauty of Home Free's music and voices makes me completely speechless as well. I just listen and let my mind experience all the feelings and emotions that come with it. This is one of the arrangements that makes me feel like this, and possibly my favourite HF arrangement out of everything they have released so far.
@raulnishizaka79093 жыл бұрын
This arrangement is based on the Club of Five´s one, in 2009, it´s very similar. I don´t know if they talk between the 2 groups or not. The link in KZbin is kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZbVo2xvnZWhiZo

I felt compelled to compliment both of you on your reaction to Home Free's cover of "Brothers in Arms". This is the most respectful and emotional reaction to this song I have seen (and I have seen quite a few). If there was ever a song that deserves to simply be listened to and experienced rather than a lot of talk and analysis I believe this is it. It was clear you knew the original song and understood the serious nature of the lyrics. Words were not needed for us to see the impact it had on both of you and I appreciate that very much. This song gets to me every time I listen. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you ladies for a heartfelt reaction to one of my all time Home Free favorites. Your comments about those who support Home Free was also endearing. I am sure they are blessed to have the support they receive to help us appreciate one another more. God bless you!
@tomhansen45763 жыл бұрын
As usual ladies, your comments are on point and always appreciated. Aside from the solemnity of the subject matter, I believe this was an A Capella masterpiece by HF, both in their performance, but also the brilliance of the video in capturing their ghost like silhouettes in the window frames depicting them as if they too were brothers in arms that had passed on.

Ladies !!! Yes this is a VERY deep song & yes it stirs so many emotions. Their artistry in this is unquestionably MAGNIFICENT. THey made us feel emotions that are difficult, but sometimes we have to feel those things in order to go forward in time. This is Home Free's MASTERPIECE I think. Think of those last words from Tim.....we are fools if we war against our brothers-in-arms...who is our death going to benefit ? We are all human beings & we share this planet with everyone else equally....such deep words !!! This is actually a cover of a 1985 hit by the rock band Dire Straits. Mark Knophler wrote it in response to his fellow UK subjects that fought & died in the Falklands war in 1982 (UK vs Argentina)...a silly war over some very very small islands in the Atlantic Ocean. Sonia & Sofia y'all have a blessed rest of your week. (((virtual hug))) we all need that after this song, and stunning visuals

This is a masterpiece of Home Free. The arrangement is fantastic and the perfect harmonies on point. Tim ' s and Chance ' s phenomenal voices, wow. But Tim's super deep bass brings that special touch that adds to the message of the song. Good reaction, thanks!

This is a cover of a song by Dire Straits from 1982 at the time of the Falklands War between the UK and Argentina. I suspect that Home Free released it now as Veteran's Day in the US is coming up this Thursday, Nov. 11. An appropriate remembrance delivered in their unique way of taking great songs and somehow making them even better.

Such a genius touch to show the silhouette of the fellas in front of the window. I know some see it as a "ghost"y reference but it strikes me as a reflection of the POW/MIA flag. We'll never know just how many of those met the same fate as the soldier of this song. 😥

Nice reaction ladies. And Home Free did an amazing job with it, the music video is great as well. However, you should really listen to the original by Dire Straits, as good as HF's cover is, the original is still, well, the original. Mark Knopfler's guitar and soft haunting voice make every soul melt.

I cry everytime I here this song. My grampy wasin the 2nd world war and cripled. My dad was in the korian war and I was in the Canadian air force. we have seen friend die and this song brings all that home again. I have been in 22 diffrent countries. some ok some hell no. My worst encounter was when me and my master corple were doing a perimater walk. We runded a corner and a kid maybe 5 or 6 years old was there pointing a german luger at us trying to pull the trigger. we both dropped and upped our FNs when we realized he cound not pull the trigger.who ever gave him the gun didnt calk it for him and he wasnt stonge enuf to calk and fire the weapon. we found out after that they gave him the gun said shoot the men in green and we will give your family food. I almost shoot a 5-6 year old kid in the face with an FN .It still haunts me today.
