I loved seeing you getting into this song and you even raised the level when John said "Big One" while the crowd was singing. Sofia, I saw you notice when John picked up his microphone stand with a flick of his foot, what you both missed a short time before was when John threw it away, you were into the song and looking at each other. I am not sure how much you know of John's career, but it started in the 60's with a song called "Sadie, the cleaning lady", it was a bit of a cheesy song by today's songs. The crowds at his concert love to have fun with him, yelling for him to sing it, he makes out that he hates singing it, but it is an act, while it might not be his favourite song, John knows it is what started his career, and there is often funny interaction between his audience and him. This clip is a good example of it, and john gets the audience to do a "Mexican wave" before he sings it kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z6K9aXSjn5ylaNk

Hi so great to see people who know of John and are reacting who haven't seen John live, singing long and still being amazed at how good he is. You have to go back to time stamp 4:46 and watch John throw the microphone stand up in the air and catch it, then throw it to the side. John was amazing with the mic stand. I LOVED LOVED LOVED this! The whole time I was thinking that you looked like two fans who were actually at the concert - to then hear you say "I felt like we were really there" was so satisfying. I usually prefer watching first time listeners to this song to see them react with shock - but seeing you already know it but watching him sing it live for the first time was a new kind of enjoyment. the general rule of thumb is always listen to John Farnham's LIVE versions, they're always somehow so much better than studio versions ..... I guess because he's such a great *performer* and with live versions you get to see his personality and Aussie comedic spirit more

This was John's outpouring of recognition against both domestic and child abuse. If you watch the whole video, before you cut in on the clip, their is a young kid singing a solo introduction to the song. "The Voice" is our Aussie theme song up there with Red Gum's "I was only 19", You want to see the depth of Farnsie's talent, watch the whole "Classic Jack" performance and jump out of your skin with their "It's a Long Way to The Top" (last song" The man is pure voice and a true Aussie icon. Loved your "sing along!"

J.F.s concerts are the best everyone has a blast listening to great singing, wonderful musicians and backing singers, the energy and good vibes are infectious. Looking back on many years of J.F. and his band I realise just how fortunate we were to have those concerts we were spoilt with incredible bands in Aussie not an auto tuner in sight just pure musical ability some of the very best. He's in his 70s now and use to do special appearances for charity Like flood victims drought for farmers to buy food for animals Also sings just as good today but I don't think we'll see John performing again his long term manager promoter but most of all best friend died a couple months ago so I don't think will see him again A few years back when Freddy lead singer from Queen band died they asked John first as Freddy commented on his voice was one of the best he herd after hearing John sing one of thier songs and John refuses to sing the song In respect for Freddy after his death John has many live performances and all good you can't go wrong keep enjoying what we have for decades

You are reacting to an Australian living national treasure you would be hard pressed to find a single Aussie who doesn't love this man . You must react to the rest of this concert and there's no other way to listen him except live , he involves the audience and his band members and backup singers are all front line artists in their own right . Whilst you are reacting check out other Australian artists , we have some of the best little known singers and bands out there and except for the tyranny of distance would be headline acts anywhere in the world , some Australian stars you maybe familiar with include the Bee Gees , ACDC , the Divinyls , Cold Chisel , Midnight Oil , Men At Work , INXS , the Angels , Crowded House the list goes on , we also have the female equivalent of John Farnham in a superb singer TINA ARENA who you might have heard of as she was a big hit in France as well as Australia , you have won my subscription because as well as my late wife being a teacher she was also John's biggest fan and attended as many of his concerts as possible .

John just underwent 12 hours of surgery to remove a cancer in his mouth and jaw….they rebuilt his jaw with part of a rib……..his recovery is going well but he may not sing again…..very sad…
