GACHAS 101: HOW TO SET UP YOUR GACHA FARM

Ideally, the general rule is for the most loot for the least amount of resources. The best combo I’ve ever found is Y seeds and stone arrows. That’s why stone arrow BP’s still trade on Official PVP and PVE. You can fill a Tek Rep with flint, thatch, and fiber, click the BP and get plenty of food for the gacha farm. Y seeds fruit faster than owls puke but you have to manually add them so that preference is a wash in my experience. Thanks Teach.

We had a tribemate (has since left ark) that found using seeds, just plain old berry seeds works great with owl pellets. Can load tons up, and let it pump em out for a long time.

Been doing that too. Simpler than stone, almost as good, just have an Iguanadon follow your berry gatherer (sword plate stego), give it the amar/azul/tintos for seeds. Keep the mejos for food and taming, narcos for narcotics, and stims for stimulants, phiomias and recipes. Gives one seed for EVERY berry, but only removes 100 of each type, so pump weight and stock up, then bam! Have to add berries before you can do it again. Gachas can get slot capped, so take a few stacks out for snow owl pellets.

In my experience (playing on official) for gacha stats, you need 140% crafting and the rest in food. More than 140 you will get more items than resources and no need to level weight because you can overload them anyway by having them pick items up. I find gachas can starve quite fast, so high food is a good thing.

Its all preference. I like 180 because I feel it maximizes the amount of stuff I get, and then weight so I can use troughs to feed them and weight to load em up! But, theres a thousand ways to get it done right! Whatever works best for you!

Thanks to the dino storage mod im able to create thousands of pellets and put them in my tek storage. No matter what Im doing If I see a snow owl(any level) I tame it. I have almost 100 owls across 20 soul Terminals. And i feel like I get more resources from pieces of gear or weapons cause I just grind it all unless Its something I need

Just to help others with some numbers if needed. I do have higher loot tables (solo, don't know if it matters with gotcha resources) but it's not how much I get but the difference between. 2 gochas producing black pearls with 36 owl pellets each and 1000 war maps each will produce a total of about 3,300-3,800 pearls. That's pretty good for only 30 mins. 1 gocha doing crystal with 36 owl pellets and 1000 war maps gives me around 4,000 crystal total. If I do the exact same thing without owl pellets, I only get 1,200 pearls and 1,500 crystal. OWL PELLETS MORE THAN DOUBLE THE OUTPUT! I did not expect that.

He's using S+ Gacha Gavagers which are from the Structures+ mod. They negate the proximity debuff for gachas. They are made in the tek replicator.

Hey Yeah John has it spot on! I use the y traps... So 12 crop plots per gatcha and and you are set! I play on official pve and this method is the best and easiest for me.

Everytime an owl comes out of a cryopod it'll spit out a pellet so you can continuously farm a bunch of pellets really fast and easy, to feed to your gachas (as long as the server you play on doesn't have a cryo cooldown)

They'll literally eat everything... Except shite not produced by owls. They'll still pick it up, they just won't eat them. I've tested dropping the load of skins you spawn from downloading into the server. They seem to count those as manufactured goods when deciding what quality of crystal to shat. I've also had about 10 odd gachas born from my original mating pair. I've gotten two black pearl ones but still zero element gachas. The problem with breeding these idiots is that they take up so much space that my base very quickly became organised around the various pairs becoming the outer perimiter posts.

All you need is owl pellets and seeds. 150 pellets rest seeds and that's money.

That's what I do. Not just one or the other, but BOTH. You can slot cap the gacha with seeds before you over weight it. Better results but faster than crafting stuff.

I was able to get 1 gatcha to grab the poop but not the others...I made the same thing just with greenhouse and stone stairs. Not sure what I'm doing wrong? I keep trying to move them back and forth/left and right.

gacha may be bugged, try put in a cryo pod and throw it back out seems to fix most gacha problems

I think you dont wanna increase the lvl if you are going for resources. Increased crafting lvl =higher quality items. It also gives you max amount of resources per crystal but you can achieve that with the owl pellets. Increasing the crafting would give you diminishing returns if im not mistaken. And you can slot cap by using seeds (although its annoying getting them done). But yeah seeds are good for min maxing i believe.

The higher level stuff you put into the gacha causes higher level crystals by my observation. Both gachas dropped crystals one with stone one with crafted items. The one with stone dropped a little less crystals than crafted items gacha but you get more resources. So if you want better gear and loot then use structures if you just want the resources use stone. 180 element dust per crystal every drop. I find stone easiest because no mater what you farm you always get stone you have to throw away anyways. So just fill your dedi storage instead.

People on official already do this. Pve is a race to place pillars everywhere so no one else can build. Lost island is already completely pillared on some servers. Can’t even build a campfire .
