Make Negative Numbers Turn Red in Google Sheets (2 Ways)

In this short video, I will show you how you can turn negative numbers red in Google Sheets. I will show you two ways and both are under the Format tab in Google Sheets. First I will show you to use the Custom Number Format to apply a format to a negative number and I will also show you how to use Conditional Formatting in Google Sheets to get a similar result.

I am having trouble understanding something with if/else statements. I have created a cell for todays date and compared it to given dates. If I am written =if(todays date> 12/3/2021, “needs attention, “ “) … note: I didn’t not code it like this, but used the cells that dates existed it. Why would it return “ “ if the date today is great than 12/3/2021? I did it for a month in November and it prompted “needs attention!” Thanks to anyone who can explain it
