this is so much better than the videos provided by Google Workspace, they don't share the screen and show what to click around on like this video. I have to take the quizzes and get certified, but keep bouncing back over to ur channel to actually learn the different aspects of GMail. Ty!!!

Thanks for this Jamie. I'm not sure if Gmail allow users to put the reply field at the top rather than the bottom of the email thread. I think there's an add in but it didn't work.

What a good video! Thank you so much! I grew up with the internet and think of myself as being in the averagely tech-savvy part of the population, but Gmail's new little features and own names for things have been so confusing and non-intuitive to me because I'm so used to older systems. I've been meaning to make the switch over to using Gmail as my primary (for various reasons even though I hate Google as a company and their privacy-invading nonsense), but I had to put if off for years because it was so overwhelming and confusing to me, until my old system got so slow and messed up I now finally have to give in and bite the bullet. So I really needed both a basic overview to understand the lay of the land of How Gmail Works (what the hell is an archive or a label or a star?? where do my mails go??), AND more advanced tips to know how to suit my needs and replicate my established organisation systems. This was exactly that, and yet I'm sure this video also suits the needs of people with a completely different profile as mine. Props to giving clear and easy-to-understand explanations but in precise language, and the organisation of the video, where to find more info on some features... You are an excellent teacher. Everything is clear to me now and I feel confident and excited to finally make the switch efficiently and smoothly.

Thank you so much for this video. I think I now have a better understanding how overwhelming it must feel for older generations when confronted with newer messengers (i.e. WhatsApp). I have the opposite problem. I am only 20, so when I go my first phone and set up my email other messengers were so common I never used mails. To me, emails were either scary (because only official stuff would write me mails) or just advertisement junk. So I never learned how to use email properly. Also, I almost exclusively use it on my phone, which is a lot less intuitive (don't see the labels and stuff). For years, I thought archive deletes mails, because I just count not find it anymore. So basically I now have 3.5k mails in my inbox and I really don't want to deal with it :( I'm definitely going to watch the label organization video you mentioned.

You can drag members of a group into the Bcc field individually, or hold ctrl, highlight some and move a sub group to Bcc.

Where do you save mail with important passwords and invoices? Do you label them seperate and what label do you give them or just somewhere in your 'Archive' and just search for it if you need it? Great videos!! 😃👍🔥

Organization and labeling is up to you. I would create a label called Invoices and then if need be create sub-labels as needed. As for passwords, its not a smart idea to store confidential information and passwords on an email system.

Hi How do you save an email to and folder ( I just got new PC setting it up and lost format from before ) before I could just click on the 3 dots in the email and go save as very simple. Now I have to download it to download folder then go and move it which is a cumbersome way of doing it. thx

Can you please tell me how to set up my default gmail account so that when I delete an email in the main default account that is coming from a synced account it will also delete it in the synced account? To be clear, right now, when I delete an email in my main default account, it doesn't delete in the synced account. I'm really hoping there's a way to do this so I don't have to continually log into my other accounts and clean those out too, as I'm only using them for the address. There is no saved folders in those accounts. Hope that all makes sense! TIA!
