Hello, Thanks for the amazing video, this was very helpful! The only issue I am having is that the timer doesn't start when someone is currently editing a cell. Could you please explain how to add this event in? Typically this is why the excel workbook gets locked by a user. Thanks again!

Will this affect other users if I am using a shared workbook? so I mean will other users appear like the ones in the video?

Hello, thank you for the great video I was able to implement this on a shared xlsm file and it appears to be effective. The only issue I run into is that from time to time when someone has the workbook on read only we get a prompt saying it is open by another user (which it shouldn't do as it's read only) - this has been the case since before putting this VBA in. I thought that this macro would help by closing the workbook that someone has on read-only but it doesn't close, it opens a 'save as' window and sits on there indefinitely. Is there anyway of editing this to not offer to save as when on read only?

Question: what if you have selected a cell and you are in the middle of editing and you leave it alone until the timer runs out? Will the code work?
