Teaching a dog to lift his leg

Did your dog used to squat to pee before you taught him this? Our dog is nearly 1 year old and he is still squatting to pee it's a nightmare now because he keeps peeing on himself. Maybe I should try this with him

Michael I have a 6 month old puppy poodle that squats to pee and 9 out of 10 times he either pees on his front let's or sometimes his stomach too. I have to take him to to the sink and wash him. Dog is a chore. I'm about to send him to peeing school
