A true measure of successful coach is having a room full of adults learning wrestling. Good job coach!

Coach, I LOVE your channel, but you're wrong on the turtle. You need to hand fight in jiujitsu first, when you're in the bottom front headlock. If the opponent goes behind - so what? That's only better for me - just stand up, or tripod, or "do jiujitsu". Front headlock bottom is dangerous, if you're against somebody who specialises in that. Being in turtle with a guy on my back with no hooks or one hook is not dangerous (as you have explained yourself many times - wrestlers escape or reverse from this position on a daily).

I understand your thoughts but maybe I should clarify, I’m teaching my students how to fight. Letting someone go to your back and take you down is not a good thing overall. I’m teaching how to recover and attack from this position. The knees you will receive from a front headlock will change your approach. Hope this makes sense. For sure I can play many different ways but my students base will not be to lie in passivity.

@@TeachMeGrappling I can see how the considerations change if you're thinking of grappling for mma etc. If I have your attention, can I ask why you've never covered the japanese neck tie? Is there a story to it?
