Wise words from a caring teacher. Failing an exam can feel like the end of the world, Sam's correct speak to your teacher and find out where you went wrong. Admit it if you spent too much time partying instead of studying. It's all part of the learning process.

I failed my first anatomy exam in medical school bc not enough time to study . My anatomy teacher pulled me into his office that DAY and asked me how much I studied ..after confessing that I volunteered to be " scribe coordinator" for the classes -meaning, one person would scribe the class then we would type outlines , pertinent info, make copies , then all get together to distribute notes 😅!! Yes ,pre-computer era --1983 ---My job was to coordinate WHO scribed WHICH class - --when cell phones DID NOT EXIST 😮....so every person had to be called on landline ,Took hours !not enough time to study that is, I didn't . My wonderful professor immediately took me off of that duty !! Anatomy was so much better when I studied ... Thanks Dr. Webster for another thoughtful , insightful and inspiring vlog ❤

Thank you so much, Dr. Webster, for this wise lesson. I wish I had been taught this, learnt it, shared it, and then learnt it again. Even though I am approaching retirement age, I am constantly learning from your wisdom, generosity, clarity, creativity, and encouragement. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

It's not the mistakes you make but how you recover that counts. And occasionally the recovery solution is better than the original concept. This from a high school shop teacher. Ronn
