This is a breakdown of how I taught focus heeling with Jolie. I hope this helps anyone who is curious how I taught Focus Heeling. Enjoy!

Professional dog training has came a long way! I have trained in Schutzhunde. Imprinting and now lure! The ability to add this to understanding the dog's psychology is certainly an advantage. The end result would be a happy 'working dog'. The Belgian Malinois is the only breed I would ever consider training again! Thanks for the video! I subscribed.

Just wondering about where is the best place if there is for where the dog is meant to be looking in formal obedience tests -just up, in the eyes or the closed hand.It seems people have different opinions?/Thanks

Hi ! Great video ! I am about to buy a clicker but I want to know why do you prefer to make the sound with your tongue ???
@warnerk96 жыл бұрын
Maria Francesca hi Maria, I have a pretty distinct clicker sound by mouth and prefer not carrying a clicker if I can avoid it especially if I have a leash and food I have to deal with. One less thing to fumble with; but I do enjoy clickers especially when shaping new behaviors

Most professional why is that more dumb and fake trainer is more subscribers they have and as better they get with each level less and less views and subs😂 strange This guy is the best I have seen so far and has almost no views 🤷♂️

Because the best dog trainers give 0 shits about youtube. Most mainstream dog trainers are egomaniacs who sell dressed up dreams to naive dog owners

Well, this is fine for obedience but what about bitework? You have a food motivated dog but with presumably almost no toy drive. Just use a toy instead.
@warnerk94 жыл бұрын
Bad Username thank you for the input. Yes I use a toy over food for obedience around bitework. Higher arousal requires higher motivation. This was just an introductory video I could send clients or club members on easy ways to begin...

I just saw you making the dog eat in your hand and he did not keep looking at you and I would like to see how to do it

lobus adestramento absolutely! Here is my part 2 video giving you those exact answers! Always remember these are generic videos and not the only way to teach focus heeling but a general guideline of the way I enjoy teaching focus heeling and found success.
