Nope, that's a classical-styled right hand picking. It's way harder, trust me. I studied classical for like 7 years and I couldn't play and arpeggiated chord for the entire first 6 months.

It's great for starters. Actually my first exposure to metal was metallica and the first album that I listened to was black album (one of the best). You can listen to black sabbath and deep purple after that. Also don't forget led zeppelin. These three are the most legendary bands. But THE most legendary one is led zeppelin. They're called the unholy trinity (I don't get what's unholy about them LOL)

Years ago, I saw a guy trying to teach his wife how to play golf and I thought, "Don't do it, man -- either hire a pro, or start planning to only see your kids on weekends." My wife and I agree that if we want a long and happy marriage, we shouldn't try to teach each other anything. She has her stuff, I have mine. Yesterday was our 20-year anniversary . . . so far, so good. Good luck, you crazy kids.

We classical guitar players have nails on our right hand but they are nowhere near as long as women’s nails and they are shaped particularly in a way that will produce good tone and hand posture when playing guitar

Dude. When I gave my wife her first lesson, she was doing diminished sweep arpeggios. Just kidding. The arpeggios were actually based on the Mixolydian b6 scale. Just kidding again. She *did* learn the notes of the open strings, so there's that. Regardless, you and your wife are cool. These kinds of videos are fun.
