As a young child I had natural confidence. I was a natural performer. I would dance, act, sing etc with no worries. Unfortunately my environment trained me to develop anxiety and fear. When Glenn said “HERE WE ARE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF FEAR WORKING OUR WAY TOWARDS FREEDOM” it was like a bullet in my chest. I’ve been working to get back to that little girl again, to who I was meant to be before life happened and this! This phrase?! Freed my mind in such a powerful way. Thank you

My eyes feel hot; I'm crying. It just dawned on Me that I'm seeing the birth of Faith, of Gratitude, of Familial Relationship, and LOVE FOR A FATHER. . . My Mother was both Mother AND Father to Me, after She garnered the courage and will to escape My (abusive, alcoholic) father. I owe Her so much; it's a debt I'll never be able to repay. Now, for the first time--ever--I'm asking Myself how having a decent, loving, caring father, as well, would have impacted My character, My personality, My life. Thank you for sharing your family's journey. I'm educated and entertained every time you post. May you all stay well, and healthy, and enjoy many blessings.

Faith over Fear. Man, you got me crying up in here. Years ago my grandmother was talking to me about growing up in the deep Deep South where my family had lived for CENTURIES and her life when she was a little girl was difficult when they had to go to school and walk a ways to the school house. Sometimes they were harassed by the white people, sometimes they white children would throw rocks, and sometimes they would see black people literally hanging from trees. 😲😵💫 I asked my grandmother how she survived, why even now she wasn’t bitter and angry and she said to me, “I had FAITH OVER FEAR. My GOD was always going to protect me.” She told me she realized that the best response to the hate was to get an education and laugh and love and have a great life. I have always always remembered that and even at my lowest points in my life, I never gave up, knowing all my grandmother endured so I could have opportunities she never had BUT SHE WAS THE HAPPIEST AND NICEST PERSON I have ever known. Be blessed…

Mr. Glen Henry again the music is beautiful! If you are a Black man with children please sit down with your children and watch this video. If you think Black men don't love and nurture their children this video will prove you wrong. Glen talked to Anaya with all the encouraging words to build up his daughter's self esteem . He took her to a safe environment to give her all the time she needed to accomplice her goal on how to use her roller blades and keep balance on her them. When Yvette came to give Anaya more support that completed the family circle. (Please get Anaya knee and elbow pads). I enjoyed the one on one time Glen and Yvette spend with their children. If anyone out there is searching for examples of what a Black Family looks like The Henry' family is an excellent example.
