Another interpretation of this that just came to me as i was hearing you speak: he showed up physically but not spiritually. Yemaya NEEDS a deep partner, upon her being able to SEE his depth she immediately recognized its beautiful soul. Ladies let a man SHOW YOU PHYSICALLY his heart and intentions. Children of Yemoja NEED these kinds of partners (technically everyone should want a partner like that.) Some others find it easier to overlook that. Of Yemoya we cannot, even if we try.

I don't like this story, the man was valued for what was inside, and the woman was still judged and chosen for her outside. Not a positive thing for me. but I thank you for keeping and telling this history, and spirituality

Thank you for the story. I didn’t like this one. Her free will was taken from her. She had to be tricked into liking someone she knew she didn’t like. It was quite toxic.

Confusion is an illusion dear. Elegua goes by so many names, it all depends on the culture or where people are from. For example Hermès or Mercury is Elegua. One in the same. Different culture therefore the interpretation is subjected to the region of the world you are from. Alafia Àse!
