Love seeing jits with awareness of the potential for punches! This position reminds me of the Gracie Combatives punch-block series 1.5… It isn’t self defense if you never see strikes coming at you!

Holy poo on toast, Imma go try this right now if I can find a friend! Update: All my friends are hesitant to come over now that I found this channel. I need fresh friends that don't know any better. 😂😂😂

My favourite grappling channel 🙏🏻 I always find if you extend your hips from diamond position to pull the arm across the opponent easily postures then you can’t get them back down. I get more finishes keeping the arm outside and keeping control of posture

Yes I like that a lot too. I taught like this for the beginners that need to learn the traditional basic finish.

Much thanks! I never succeeded that choke even though I had the whole sequence (MMA beginner). Now I know why!

STAGE 1.5 OF The Punch Block Series Of Gracie Combatives . They teach that set up for all whitebelts for the last 30 years. I do agree with you. To this day it's my favorite way to set up the triangle and kimura. I love everything from an overhook or clamp when it comes to having someone in my guard.

Love the channel! This is my absolute favorite submission 😀 The guys at the gym are getting hip to it, if there is one spot where I lose the submission. It’s as soon as I control the wrist and hip out to get room for the triangle leg. They close the distance and bring their left leg over my right leg into half guard. Are you preventing that with the foot in their hip?

love it, thank you. That 1.5 setup is really awesome for people who make it work. The best guy I know with triangles uses that 1.5 setup. I have never pulled it off to be honest, but it works for sure. Thanks I like your setup.

Excellent details for no gi triangle. It gets hard to do when the sweat everywhere increases. Any additional details when you've been rolling for 2 hours and it's super slippery?

What most people do with me is that they stick their arm to their body, the side that you will put your knee through between their body and arm. You really need to separate their arm from their body for you to advance. Also, when there is a little handfight and they also have your wrist... Double sucks 😮

Try bridging and hip escaping. Its very hard for them to stop you when you use your powerful hips.
