Off ALL my KZbin grappling teachers, I have had the most success with Neil Melanson and Coach Brian videos. Thank you guys for another great video!

MAN, I wish I'd known about this channel six years ago. Consistently useful moves that make sense and can be followed. 👏

Underrated !!! I’ve never finished this but it is my go to when I’m caught in side control now . It transitions you to get to a better position

I used the headlock position to sweep or reverse from side control, never thought about other options.

I really like this one as the entry blue belt , also because I wanna master Kimura as my no.1 submission. John’s trick really brought me a lot of ideas how and where to use kimura ❤

I hit that kimura often. It's really good to just get a sweep if nothing else.

7:08 Could he put his left foot on the top of your right knee to pinch your leg against the heel of his right leg further ensuring that you can't slip that leg and roll? Sorry if that is a stupid question. I am a striker not a grappler!
@johnsapla79064 жыл бұрын
I think he could yeah, maybe even cross the legs around somehow.

Can you roll from the nino guard into kesa gatame?
@wingoreviewsboxingandmma36674 жыл бұрын
Nino did the rubber guard before Eddie Bravo knew what Jiujitsu was
@zenco16114 жыл бұрын
Not quite, Eddie was a Blue / Purple belt at the time. Don’t forget that Eddie is 50 and Nino is 46.
