***** I actually haven't donated a single cent to her. But I have benefitted greatly from her wisdom that she puts online for free. That's what I love about Teal. She never asks for money and she puts her teachings online for everyone to see free of cost. The word donation and conwoman do not go together in the same sentence. People choose to donate of their free will if they can afford it and if they see value in her platform. They are not receiving anything in return for that donation so their is nothing to be coned out of. You could say the same about any church. If someone donates money to the church and their prayers aren't answered is the preacher called a con man? No.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating and they have to provide something that works. If they haven't deeply involved themselves in the practical how-to, whether writing books or building mystic or magical systems/orders there's usually not much there aside from copy-cat training for more of their own ilk.

Sister.. you are always so right on but because you have such a huge following I seldom comment to your videos as I can be less than "appeasing" most of the time.. w/that said I will comment now.. Your "Authenticity" movement will bring you a lot of flack from the pretenders who fear their own realities while selling Peace under disguise and that's a given.. But it will also bring you many who are just like you & See right through the hordes of "Spiritual Teachers" for what they truly are and they will embrace you all the closer .. I will be one of them.. thanks for your Unyielding Honesty in Love and Truth Teal.. We are all so much more than we know.. Only when we have learned to be unashamed of all that we are and move in the Present spontaneously & unafraid of our own Divinity will we be Truly authentic.. until then the masses will continue to be led by their spiritual "knows" unaware that they already posses what they seek from outside of themselves .. thanks for all ya do sis.. Loved the authenticity in this video. She is just so perfectly imperfect, it actually taught me to be perfectly imperfect too :D. It is true that many people don't like how you truly feel, because your negative feelings make them realize that sometimes they feel the same (and they don't want to). I hope that more spiritual teachers, gurus, psychologists etc. will do the same thing with openness in the future (and if I get to my dream university to study the human psychology, so will I). Keep doing such an awesome work! :-)

Great video, so candid and honest. One thing I find really fascinating is that paradox of so many "spiritual" teachers presenting this image of spiritual "perfection" because they think if they let on to the fact they are actually not perfect, positive and on track all the time, people won't listen to them. Maybe that is largely true in the US, I don't know. But for me personally, I feel the exact opposite! I find it far more relatable and inspiring when teachers are open about their own struggles and imperfections and are just real and ok with the reality of life as it is now, which is why I find Teal much more helpful than a lot of other spiritualists who make me feel like even more of failure for not being able to do what they are say I should be doing and making out that it should be easy. I wish more people were real and authentic like this.

I love this video. You are SO spot-on in what you share here. Thank you so much for being a freedom-offering warrior of truth. I can see why you are slandered, threatened, etc. It is because you speak the truth despite knowing it will make some people frightened of you, and frightened people who are having their preciously held "beliefs" broken down become angry and hateful. Because you tell the truth and we all know that "the truth shall set you free" but DAMN there are tons of people out there who do not want us to be free so they despise people like you who really preach what needs to be taught, truth. You teach people how to overcome the disempowering feelings of shame and guilt and how to accept themselves and love themselves while they are "learning." It's all learning, not making mistakes. I send you love and strength! I am thankful to you for being such a speaker of truth. You are awesome! I am also thankful as I watch this that I can say to myself, "Oh yeah I USED to do that too!" But I don't anymore. Now I understand I am always learning, always becoming more soul than human, and it's an objective process. Not one to belittle myself over. I am already perfect, right as I am right now. Thanks again.

I LOVE this~and I love Teal. She's the only one with enough balls to say this. Her interview with Matt Kahn really showed me how I was buying into his "way of being" and its impossible to be perfect. A total facade. He says he has no thoughts...he doesn't react to others, he gives off this air of perfection and it IS nauseating. It definitely made me feel like I was failing. Teal is the only one who tells it like it truly is and for that I commend her!

Teal, thank you thank you thank you thank you for saying all of this. Our community needs this authenticity so much right now! I have held myself in low esteem for feeling hurt, irritated, or any number of negative things. And I have actually had others shame me for feeling frustrated, with comments like: "I thought you were into meditation or something." Mind you, I endeavor to always be fair, and patient, and accepting of others around me. But I am expected to not even show anger, or grief, or regret because I study spirituality and meditate and do yoga. Personally, I find it inspiring and heartening to know that you experience these things too. It really does feel sometimes like I am alone and in silent desperation when I am not allowed to express my feelings openly for fear of being judged or (maybe even worse), casting a bad light on spiritual people. But I think that if we can live with authenticity as you have invited us to do, and give others the space to do so as well, we can actually become beacons to ourselves and those around us.
@romanr99779 жыл бұрын
+Mazecraft What a lovely comment - beacons. I can so relate to you. Being patient and accepting towards people yet these very people not reciprocating. My friend is a "spiritual counselor", who by the way is massively into the Law of Attraction (let's call her the LOA friend), and when opening up to this friend about what has been going on in my life (ie stability being shaken - loss of income, potential loss of the roof over my head and a brain injury - all happening concurrently), she had the nerve to shame and judge me for feeling "down" and that I "should" be thinking positive !! And that I shouldn't be affected by these things. Exactly what Teal is referring to in this video. After my shock, I did however tell her that I need to be authentic and that I couldn't guarantee that the next time I caught up with her over coffee that I would be "sweetness and light" as that would mean I was not being true to myself. This sermon she gave was after she's espoused time and time again that people should own and be responsible for their own reactions and how they are feeling - yet projecting on to me her inability to sit with someone (me) being vulnerable. She admitted this in a round about way by saying she couldn't deal with my negativity and me being melancholy, therefore not owning her own feelings and reactions. Interestingly, when I told another friend of what has been happening, her reaction was totally the opposite of the LOA friend, and she was incredibly supportive and empathetic. In fact, this other friend praised me for my resilience. I understand the fear of being judged but hope you stay in your truth. Sitting in silence for fear of judgement is debilitating. Life IS imperfect and the more people that become beacons, the path is better lit. I've recently, through shadow work, found the strength to be authentic. Being responsible for our emotions/feelings means owning up to them AND expressing them despite unsupportive friends or community. Love and Light x
@Mazecraft9 жыл бұрын
Roman R Yes! The way out is through, not over, under, or around. The friend that can sit with you and give you the space to be in your feelings so that you can work through them is worth more than all the gurus' in the world weight in gold. :) I should admit here that I have been that snobby spiritual guy that was holier than thou before too. It's kind of embarrassing to think of it now. I'd memorized the words of the masters and then ran off to repeat them to anyone going through a hard time without doing any of the work on myself. Only *I* truly understood. But I was like the Project Mayhem soldier repeating "His Name-is Robert Paulsen." Haha Teal's movement toward authenticity and a fellow named Vito Mucci have been very helpful to me in calibrating my intent and staying true. If you have a few bucks, check out Coffee for Consciousness 101 on Amazon. He's a facebook friend of mine and a really down to earth teacher. Much of his focus is on giving people space to be authentic, and taking responsibility for healing our thoughts and feelings and making our world a more loving place. Anyway, thanks for sharing your story and your words of encouragement! They are well received. Love, light, and keeping it real! ~Maze

The bottom line is this: The energy you exude is what creates your reality, and, yes, you control this aspect of yourself via thought. This is why you can't completely hide negativity internally, for it does in fact reveal itself in some capacity, and you essentially become a magnet of negativity, so what you exude, you attract in the process. Positive-thinking is obviously the way to live a happy, healthy-life, but unfortunately finding joy within this third-dimensional Earthly-reality can be like locating the pot-of-gold at the end of the rainbow. In other words, it isn't always easy to find and maintain, and I think that goes without saying.

There's something else that goes on when others do not tell how they are truly feeling. What goes on, is that you can actually pick up an energetic discrepancy. You will feel something being slightly OFF despite what their words say. It makes one tend to either not trust the person or not trust your OWN inner-guidance system.

I am a very authentic person and so I guess I expected it from a "spiritual guru" I went and met with a few years ago...I haven't felt the connection with any other spiritual teacher in the way I feel the spiritual connection with you, you are the authentic energy I have been seeking and am a match to, and in watching your videos, you have been guiding me towards the authenticity I deeply desire in connecting with others, and in a world full of pretense, it can be lonely at times, but the reality I realize now, is that its getting easier and easier to spot in others, realizing the 'duality' in the world, its becoming easier for me to recognize the pretentious versus the authentic...when I am around the pretentious, I usually feel then that something is wrong with me, but then feel the truth within me, that what I am feeling is an emotion that is there, and only to guide me towards my true desire and that is expressing the authentic self...and sometimes it becomes obvious to me, that to be around pretentious people, its a way to recognize the authenticity in myself...

This video came at the right time in my life, I've become recently aware that my dea of right and wrong and where I should be is everchanging and just bits and peices of others ideal image. I'm starting to shy away from my massive guilt and embrace myself as I am more and more each day.

Yes. It leads to misery, not to accept where one is know, and not to stop by forgiveness. We all make "mistakes" but the most important thing is to be compassionate and forgiving, and then walk forward again. My ego was so unbreakable, I didnt stop, that I walked all the way from grace, and even a sort enlightenment, into major depressive disorder, into unbalanced probable bi-polar. So wish me well! Be merciful, to yourself. No one is perfect, focus on your own journey and life, heal slowly. Love.

I know that there are many truths, but Teal speaks MY truth with every word. Maybe she really only exists as a part of my truth, as my construct for self help. Maybe she is my sister and best friend. Maybe she could be my enemy. I don't have all the answers, but many of the answers I DO have come from Teal Swan. Thank you, Teal, for speaking my truth. Thank you, my sister, for your beauty and love. You are surely loved in return! 🤗

how bout just doing it for the joy :) we are all here to create our own reality, we do create our own reality, we can never get it wrong or get it done. We aint here to agree with each other, it's all about the joy.

Awesome video Teal, we all need to STOP judging ourselves. We need to appreciate what we have and our life in the present moment. The pressure of perfection isn't real, it's just our judgmental perceptions and once we realize that... then we will be truly free. have a good week too Teal :)

Exactly what I needed to hear. As a teacher and healer, I often feel that when I'm not where I want to be spiritually, I'm not worthy of helping others. I know that it's ridiculous. We all go through cycles in our lives and if everything was 100% perfect all the time, what would be the point of it all? Thank you for reminding me to embrace the reality of this human experience, which I believe makes us even better teachers and healers.

Really nice video Teal and yes I agree with what you said. I'm a dating coach and its the same in the dating world other coaches pretend they are always happy and they never make mistakes or get turned down by women. Honesty is key to heal others

Because I expected perfection for myself, I did the same for somebody I care about deeply. That was one of the most stressful things I ever experienced. Thanks Teal :-)

Wow Teal! I felt so good watching this. I love the energy you put into this video! The message was spot on. The colors, and lighting were perfect, and you were really quite fun and animated. I don't expect this of you every time, nor do I expect perfection from you, or any of the other spiritual leaders I follow. I just thought you should know that this video made me feel wonderful. Thank You for your honesty, and candor. That is one of the qualities I like best in you. 5 stars for this video. :) Be Well.

This is very important information. I work on this all the time myself, but I still fall into the trap often. Hilariously I beat myself up for having too many "perfect pictures." I see this as my "biggest flaw" - so even with awareness of this issue you can still go round and round in it. Thank you Teal for helping me see two things (i) most of the big teachers are "successful" precisely because they dish out perfect pictures. I have been tempted to do the same myself and actually just started doing a rewrite on my next book because I was falling into the trap of creating a marketable book rather than an authentic book - "tell them what they want to hear so they will buy your product then you can get your message out to more people." (ii) how enormous the delusion is. I've never seen before how deeply this pervades the entire fabric of not only humanity but our spiritual movements. I saw it like a perfect glass canopy - we occupy the space beneath it in a deluded state. This video caused ripples in the canopy. I hope this ends up being your most popular video and the whole thing shatters. I'm grateful that you are out there being authentic! We buy into "perfect pictures" because we don't want to feel pain. When we experience pain we cover it in a perfect picture so we can deny our pain exists. We live on earth - the planet of opposites. Love-Fear; Pleasure-Pain. Its how we expand - by getting out of balance and seeking change from an unbalanced state into balance...

Thank you for exposing a different side of your very multidimensional self in this video, Teal. I think we're all reacting with great generosity for your candidness here. I love your more 'scripted' videos too but this one is just as good in a whole new way. It reminds us your human, too -- perfectly appropriate for this video in particular. I respect you and will listen to you even more, because of it. Blessings and love.

This is so timely : ) I've been learning Reiki and have been struck at the vehemence of the teacher when she describes all the negative emotions etc. Even to the point of just shaming people for not knuckling down to spiritual practise if they express problems with focus or negative feelings becoming overwhelming. I felt that the teacher was actually hurting the students. This video sums up all my intuitional feelings about the extreme emphasis on the positive. In my view it's good and useful to use positive focus and appreciation as a guide to gently sail your ship through life, but we must allow ourselves to dwell in the learning moments when they come up in the reflections of our life experience. That is where growth comes and what we're here on Earth to do. Balance is Key
