This is good info for sure, and quite relevant to my situation. Having last built and run a Blackfoot in the early '90s, I decided to get back into RC with a 17.5t racing buggy, and bought a NOS b6.1fl kit off ebay because it seemed like a good fit for the class and would save me some money over a current kit. My local track is an old school outdoor dirt track though, and I've come to the realization that the factory lite is designed for high-bite surfaces. I'm new to setting up rc cars, and there seems to be a paucity of low-grip setup info online specific to the b6.1fl. But fortunately, I did eventually come across Ray Munday's b6.1d outdoor layback setup, and it seems like that will be a good starting point for me. However, it's nice to know that if I need even more rear grip, I can reference your video for some ideas. Thanks for sharing what's worked for you. I really appreciate it!

I really hope they start releasing parts for us to run outdoors again. My Losi 5.0 has a stand up in it right now. I think my battery is a little to far forward, but it does ok with the standup. Really hope they start remembering that a lot of people still run 2wd buggy on outdoor oldschool type tracks.

Luckily there's decent support for the RB10 and ProSC10. Recently proper C and D blocks that use the 6 series pills were released by AE. Now if only they would release a rear motor stadium!

If you get the newer Hobbywing XR10 Pro Stock Speck ESC you can play with the Drive Frequency and it's a game changer. I run a B6.2 with the 4gear Standup, a higher drive frequency will help the car not break grip while accelerating.

Thanks! I'll check it out.

Is the 6.3 chassis still the short chassis like the 6, 6.1 and 6.2?
@trevorfurlotte Жыл бұрын
It's been a while but if memory serves me correctly the 6.3 like the 6.2 came in two chassis lengths, short for the D and long for the carpet version. Don't quote me on that. I haven't driven or worked on a 2wd buggy for well over a year.

@@trevorfurlotte Did you get out of racing 2wd? You selling out?

@@MrJz97ss last year was busy with University courses and flying RC. I just checked this year's schedule and I'm traveling during all the races I want to attend. Recently I've been running 16th scale indoors on carpet and Team Losi Mini JrX2 and T outdoors on my backyard track.

This is a cool build. Is this for a really old school type track?
@trevorfurlotte3 жыл бұрын
In my experience if the grip is low the only thing that works better for me is a rear motor B5
