I want to share with you the first 3 things I did to my team associated reflex 14B gamma without any extra cost.
Seal the body to keep dirt out.
Replace the spur gear to get more low end speed and acceleration
modify the battery tray to hold bigger and better battery
see a little head to head action of the 14B and 14T racing in my backyard track.

Bigger spur will decrease the speed. Did you notice an increase?

I made a mistake. you will get more acceleration with the bigger spur. I will edit the video

I tried full length velcro strips to hold the body...but it seemed to be too much. So I tried one and a half inch pieces, positioned at front and rear (sides) of the pan. This holds the body tight and makes it quicker/easier to remove. The new Ongaro and Gamma bodies look awesome, and the rearrangement of the receiver and speed control locations are excellent improvements.

What’s up mike!! I like the full length because it seems to keep out most of the dust and dirt. But at the same time I fear the motor will overheat but I haven’t run into that problem yet. When you buy the reflex they give you a spare parts bag and it has the mount to have the ESC in the middle. So it’s cool that you have both options to mount the ESC

Not sure how frequently you run these cars but can you tell me what frequently breaks? I want to buy the new kit and some spare parts as soon as possible as parts support will not be as good here.

Team Associated just released the kit version with all the upgraded part. I would definitely get that kit and put in some good electronics.

@@HighResistanceRC-id4mx yeah, thats my plan. But nobidy in our club has experience with these cars. How fragile are the arms. Is there any known weakpoint?

@@profix25lo the new kit version has all the upgrades. Those upgrades were the weak points of the RTR kit. I’ve been running this car for a year now and never broke an arm, it’s so lite that when you crash it’s not hard on the vehicle. I’m sure if you smack a curb hard enough it would break but on the track it’s solid. The only thing I can think of is getting better bearings and getting metal or the carbon fiber shock towers. The new kit version still has the plastic shock towers. I hope this helps, please like and subscribe. Another great option for 1/14th would be the LC Racing EMB-1HK
