Another fine job of what to expect when purchasing a vehicle that you have run and reviewed. I does look like it has more adjustability than a lesser priced 1/14 buggy. I would be interested in seeing you compare the 1/14 buggies head to head if you find the time please. Thank you for telling us what you found when you used it yourself. I would have thought it would perform better out of the box coming from an experienced race company like AE

Another good review! So are the tires and wheels on WL, AE, and Losi brands interchangeable? What kind if choices are out there for these types of RC's? They are between minis and 1/10 scale.

I just got my Reflex 14T. Already love it. I'm getting the Hobbywing 16BL30 you recommended. I was looking at the combos. Would you recommend the 12t or the 18t?

Probably one of the better "mini" scale RCs out there. I love that it has a center differential, hopefully that will stop F/R diffs from breaking, something that plagues all minsi when bashing with high power motors. Did you own the Losi Mini 8ight?

Its a bit pricier but did you look at the lc racing 1/14 buggy as well? Its a very high quality kit.

Do you think the wltoys 144001 battery will work with this ? That battery is a 1500 maH, idk about the c rating, probably 15 C ?

i got the hobbywing esc like you did so i was curious and took the sticky take off the reedy esc that is stock and come to find out the reedy esc is actually a hobbywing labeled as a reedy

Like others have already stated, really appreciate your reviews. Picked up a WLToys 144001 and love it so far (except for the front shock tower, but I ordered a carbon fiber one to replace it). Would love to see your comparison of that to the 14B when you get a chance. I've heard other's complain about the 14B's tires. I know the WLToys buggy isn't exactly a racer, but did you get a chance to try it at NorCal too?

@@SolRC The LC Racing shock tower is not an exact fit on the 144001. You either need to cut the carbon fiber or make some major adjustments to get it to work. casterracingmi.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=1730

The only thing i change in mine was esc, the car felt a bit gutless vs my wltoys 14401 then after the mamba max esc it out performs the 14401 in all aspects its a little monster.The tyres are next on my list ill be using the 14401 tyres they are way better.

Not wanting to bother you I was just wondering if the truggy body would fit on the car type just wandering if I could switch body's around I'm gonna try some different tires and rims only it is want a blue set of tires and a red set it don't no much about binding one do I have too bind one or can I run some of them out of the box just wanted to ask you a few things I'm just getting it to play around in the neighborhood you no your stuff I wished I new half you new could you tell me some tires and rims that would last for messing around on the pavement and it the dirt with out were long and last a long time before we ring

The wltoys 144001 is direct drive how would you compare the punch (stock) between the two?

I have both stock the 14401 is faster and has more punch, the stock esc in the 14b is rubish , now it has a mamba max esc and it smashes the 14401,its so fast, the stock 4500kv motor is fantastic .

Seems like I'm going have to order the car from amazon and buy my battery separate then I don't have to pay no shipping for the car or battery seems like a lot of them are sold out wanted to buy the kit from horizon hobby but they sold out but they have the truggy complete for 215 dollars in don't no which way too go might just the car and the battery separate other companies don't have a return like amazon does got too figure something out thanks again if you can find anything please let me no thanks for the information I appreciate your opinion it matters to me

If I had to do it all over again, I would get this over my 144001 that converted to brushless. You end up spending more than the team associated for something less reliable.

I think you're spot on. I looked into upgrading my 144001 and it cost way too much and said screw it, makes more sense to start with a better platform, which I think the Reflex is.

Looks like a "fun" buggy...but, as you said, it's more for 'bashing', and not-so-much for on-track use. Nevertheless, it was "interesting" watching it on the NorCal track. Personally, even though it costs more, I'd still prefer the Losi Mini 8ight...I just wish they'd bring it back, say, a Mini 8ight 2.0.
