Nice change of pace, a couple of tips for Peter that I can tell were wrong -- slipper is very loose, needs to be tightened at least 1/4 turn, probably more like 3/8 or 1/2 turn. You can hear the motor spin up but the truck doesn't actually accelerate when giving it some gas. Rear tires definitely need carpet tires. Finally, the NB4 radio has some steering expo and deadzone issues, see my review video on how to set it for linearity. But yeah, rather big for that track, that track is actually small even for buggies! In any case, I enjoyed the video, I have the same truck set up for carpet as well.

The correct rear tires on it will be huge for making it easier to drive, I noticed it has carpet front tires but the rears we're dirt tires which are too soft and don't dig into the carpet enough to provide enough grip to match the front tires that were on the truck. Generally stadium trucks are easier than buggies too drive because the tires have such a large contact patch when compared to buggies that the window for getting the suspension tuning correct is pretty wide in comparison. Additionally they also feel more plush on the track as compared to buggies. I've driven the t6.2 on tight carpet and astroturf tracks and they handle great, but I do not own one so I cannot say much in regards to durability

To add to what has been said, that slipper is screaming, tighten it up (as Razor mentioned). Overall, the truck looks underdamped and slow to respond. My guess is, he took it off a dirt track and didnt make any changes for handling on the carpet. Definitely needs a stiffer spring up front, maybe even out back, and heavier weight oil. That will stiifen up the truck and improve response and overall handling. My guess is a quicker servo or a different radio will make it quicker still. And, if he is still running a ball diff, switch to a gear diff and 5-7000 wt diff fluid. All that being said, TIRES, TIRES, TIRES, that is 70-75% of your performance. The T6.2 is a great handling truck, even on a track like that. Hope all that helps 👍

Love running trucks. People say its easier drive on a track than buggy but I also find them a handful I run the XT4 on 10.5 and its plenty of fun.

Nice one Glenn! - gotta love stadium trucks :) - think you said it all, bit more rear grip, or a larger more forgiving track -especially to get to know the car. Barnyard RC again would be good to see - jeez was that 2 years ago!?! Keep on Trucking ;)

Great video footage you were getting warmed up towards the end not bad mate. Glenn mate you would be Pro with carpet tyres that truck you were driving wins race's indoor and out awesome with the right tyres even old mate's radio should of asked if you could use a different model in radios memory so you can start fresh factory default because old mate had previously set Radio up how he likes it but might be be great for you. Even take your own radio and receiver that you are use to ask if you can plug that in for the test. I hope you get what mean mate I'm not the best story teller lol great video mate 👍

I’ve actually found 2wd stadium truck an easier class to setup & drive vs 2wd buggy now granted I’ve not run mine on carpet yet but from the looks of the video to hot a motor (to fast a motor) for that small track maybe a 10.5 or 13.5 would be a better fit and if you had the proper rear tires I think you might have had a better driving experience in general. Now if you want a handful you should try 2wd short course 😂

Unfortunately the truck was just not setup correctly to give you the best experience. Typically stadium trucks are some of the easiest and most forgiving 1/10th scale vehicles to drive on carpet, when setup correctly of course. My suggestion to Pete would be to ditch that 8.5T motor and to put a 13.5, 17.5 or 21.5 in that truck with proper tires. The experience will be completely different and more enjoyable, I promise.

Hi Glenn great video as per usual 👍 I see what you were meaning.. it didn't look to be set right for that track, better after a few changes though. As the pro's say it's not about how fast of motor you have it's how the car and driver are working together 👍👌👍

The way the rear end was sliding around makes me curious what it would do with a rear motor setup. If that mid motor truck can't do a tight technical track, then none can. The right tires are paramount, without them the rear end can be squirrely as hell. Sometimes I wonder if the designs of these new trucks are being pushed past expectations. I have an old team losi lxt, and the tracking is rock solid.

Mate! So you DID get to try the NB4?! Are you planning to give a mini-review with it later on? I love mine and it’s made my drifting so much better than my previous “RTR-spec” transmitter that I was using. For the price, I think it’s an absolute bargain for the features you get compared to the Futaba 3PV. I would recommend getting the Kimborough “scalloped” steering wheel grip because it makes steering inputs slightly easier. Anyway, good to see you having fun on track.

Hi maybe you can help I built a team associated truck when I was younger that was stolen in the 90's.. for some reason I'm having a brain fart on what model it was I'm 54 now soooo lol...i have a picture of building it and some parts on the table and from what I can see it had black a arms fr and rear with a clear yellow type chassis and I can see some wide chrome rims no tires seen ?

Motor choice is wrong for the track conditions. To put it in to perspective, these 2WD stadium trucks when piloted by professionals run a 17.5T about half the speed of the 8T and they are flying. No doubt an 8.5T motor would be good for an open area such as a big car park but at a tight racetrack at those speeds the motor is too peaky. Honestly unless your a pro, a modern 21.5T sensoed brushledd set up will give you all the power and speed you need with the right gearing yet mire importantly will be much smoother and easier to control and drive
