As others have stated I find the fact that Sans doesn’t kill Papyrus to be way better for the idea of Dusttale. And the fact that Papyrus doesn’t kill the human/Frisk/Chara/Player (I dunno anymore) just because he’s told to makes me feel like this could happen given the circumstances.

Yeah,,, it shines light on sans' justice and patience. And in general, he's got too big of a heart for everyone but especially Papyrus. I find the scenario where even if Sans has gained enough LV to detach himself from his younger brother, his brotherly love will shine through no matter what, to be more favourable. I was also thinking that since Monster SOULs are stated to be made of love, hope, and compassion, then they'd deal with LV a bit differently.

This is such an amazing showcase. You can always tell what attacks are sans's or PAPYRUS'S even if they use the same attacks their styles are totally different!

This is just my take but 1.) Banger music, literally the personification of hope-filled endeavor (papyrus) and bargaining (sans, mainly) 2.) Papyrus references his beta pose 3.) I like how Sans doesn't even commit himself to protecting Papyrus. Like he's not gonna hide him from the monster we truly are. Maybe hoping it'd get through his head that we can't and shouldn't be saved. Though in general he takes a hands-off approach to most things 4.) Papyrus isn't just someThough in general he takes a hands-off approach to most things hopeless martyr in this take (like in many others) and hes treated as a relentless force. He's has a big enough heart to reach out to two serial killers (one being his brother) in one encounter, yet he remains stern and astute 5.) It just makes more sense for Sans to be unable to detach from Papyrus even with his LV imo. Remember that monster SOULs consists of love, hope, and compassion, whilst human SOULs consist of determination. Its gonna go against monster physiology (especially a monster known and loved for his patience and justice by the fandom) to be easily swayed by LV
