The characters are mercenaries fighting over various things. They were hired to fight for land by two brothers who have been trying to get the land for a long time, even going so far as to enlist the Engineer and his family to build devices to keep them alive longer.

the release order was (IIRC) Heavy, Scout, Soldier, Engineer, Sniper, Demoman, Spy, Medic and Pyro. if you watch them in order, you can tell the shorts become more complex in animation and switch from a simple interview to a more comedy sketch vibe. Heavy is on his own talking to the camera, Scout also talks to the camera but he's got an intro and two scenes. by the time we get to Sniper, we're out on the road, then inside his camper van, then atop a watchtower, etc...

I been playing TF2 for too many years, and man, the dude is making his explanations way too confusing for the lady... The most egregious being him trying to explain Pyro to her. Here's all you need to know; Pyro (and in fact a majority of the characters in this game) are not all there mentally. Pyro sees the world as all happy and stuff, and in reality he's seen as a monster. Normally, you see the game normally while playing as him, but there are items in game that make you see the happy version. That's Pyro's story.

I absolutely live for the reactions of people who have no idea what's coming with Pyro lmfao. The horror and humour together is just excellent Also, even though it's probably the simplest of all the Meet The Team videos, there isn't a line I prefer more than "Some people think they can outsmart me... Maybe, maybe... I've yet to meet one that can outsmart bullet." An entire class summed up in one quote - I think the LazyPurple video you reacted to on Heavy perfectly demonstrates that enemy players that think they are outsmarting Heavy players are gonna be punished, omega hard. Finally, it really is hard to properly get across just how powerful Ubercharge is. I don't think there's any mechanic in any FPS game that comes close. Invulnerability, for multiple players at a time AND you can choose exactly which players to make invulnerable at the exact time you make each and every flash of ubercharge, is such an insanely powerful ability. In terms of influence on an individual game, I don't think there's any character that can come close to Medic in TF2.

Fun fact: In meet the medic the medic uses the quick fix to übercharge the heavy (the quick fix is one of 4 medicguns that the medic is able to use wich all have different effects) an ubercharge from the quick fix onlx makes you heal your targets health 3x as fast as normal.But the ubercharge that is being shown in meet the medic is the ubercharge from the stock medigun wich grants you and your healingtarget invunurability for 8 seconds so valve used the wrong weapon in meet the medic.
