Corrections! 5:25 Grenade Launcher does 100 base damage, not 90. Also, I didn't mention crouch jumping. Crouch and jump at the same time to add a bit of extra height to clear certain hurdles. You don't strictly NEED to crouch jump in most instances of gameplay as a beginner, and you can actually explosive jump too; crouch not required! Trust me, I went in and looked. Thanks to a kind commenter for pointing these out! What a time to not have annotations...
@JetEriksen Жыл бұрын
I feel it important to also add that Scout is definitely not countered by Demoman, but it's the other way around. Scout is very hard to hit with only projectiles, furthermore scout loves to get right into the opponents face, and Demoman hates people being in his face since he takes self damage from his own explosives that way.
@rawhide_kobayashi Жыл бұрын
There are many ledges you can't get onto without crouch jumping though. I think most particularly, and most likely to catch up noobs, is the little berm just before the final point on Frontier. There are stairs leading up to it from the red side, but you have to crouch jump to get up there. And you can get up on it from the flanking corridor from the blu side, but you need to crouch jump if you want to get up from ground level. It's a vital point of the map to control and really hurts you if you can't get up there.

I am so incredibly greatful that Valve is chill with devs making clones on mobile, because that's the only way I'm able to play it. Now that there's finally a decent port out there, I'm so glad I finally have a chance to give this game a try. Thank you for this beginners guide

11:00 Fun tidbit:Since medic mentions that he isn't a licensed doctor in meet the medic , he doesn't count as medical personnel, and thus, can be harmed and killed in war without punishment.
@slickytail Жыл бұрын
this isn't true! combat medical personnel do not have to have any sort of licensing to be protected. The only requirement is that they be clearly marked (which medic is), and do not participate in combat. There's no rule against carrying a weapon, so Medic is protected under the Geneva convention as long as he doesn't shoot his primary.

Wild how despite being basic guide, it's still better than in game basic guide 😂. Definitely hope you'll do slightly more advanced guide for ads too! Because I'd argue what makes Tf2 unique and worth playing over other multiplayer shooters IS it's uniqueness, mastery of different skills etc. So I wonder if advanced guides as ads would be even better advertisement for the game

@Dedprotectr Жыл бұрын
Well, in all honesty, it's not very good to try instilling a concept like "good and bad weapons" into a new player's head. This sets a lot of players up to reject weapons, likely for years. I'm nearing 10k hours, and only about 1-2 years ago did I accept this! If it took almost 8 years for me to accept that the Manmelter, Mantreads, Equalizer, Warrior's Spirit, and other commonly "bad" weapons were actually useful when you learn them and the proper synergies and strategies, how long would it take someone who was told by their friend that they were bad and not worth using? People don't like the idea of a meta in TF2, but the meta forms when we pre-emptively prime players to only use "good" or "overpowered" weapons, and ignore and avoid "bad" weapons. But a continuation of this series with unlocks would be nice, but I really hope they refrain from comparing weapons to each other, and focus more on how to use each weapon to make the most out of it, and *possibly* weapon synergies as well.
