I am so looking forward to seeing Venom in action If Black Widow plays something like Crimson Viper and RE5 Jill Valentine from UMvC3, I'd be mildly interested If Winter Soldier is something of a Grappler/Rushdown character, I think that would be kind of cool even though it destroy Leon S. I just realized, MvC:I looks and plays like it was made by people who just wanted to see events with as many matches as possible with no downtime. You get in and out of games quickly, but part of that reason is because character intros and win screens are so boring and uninspired that you want to skip them every time. The characters, even the DLC (which look like SO much more work went into them), have so little personality compared to other crossover games. I mean, look at Smash 4: every character feels like a person, and they look like they have character; they play the way they do in their original games. MvC:I is totally different; the characters in this game look and feel like they exist merely to facilitate button presses and gameplay. They could be switched out with colorless blobs and it would play exactly the same. It's REALLY unnerving once you see it, because you can't UNSEE it.

Smash would play the same with colorless blobs. Every game would play the same with colorless blobs. Gameplay doesn't change with graphics. And intros in Smash are lame af too. Literally every Pokemon's intro is coming out of a pokeball. Marth, Lucina, Roy, and Ike have the same intro. Mario and Luigi have the same intro. And at least there aren't Marvel characters that have the exact same moves like Marth to Lucina or Link to Toon Link or Pit to Dark Pit.

A good player will keep an eye on the meter and expect the soul stone if the other player is; 1. about to die 2. about to win, and wants to finish off the other person by putting on the extra pressure with a second character. Even with the soul stone, it feels less broken to me than the gameplay in MVC3, with how hard it is to escape a combo and how much damage your last character could do with x-factor.
