I just don't understand why the Romanian Federation seems to have not invested in bars coaches DECADES ago. Even under Belu the Romanian bars work began a slow and painful slide into so-so routines. In the days of Adrian Goreac most of the top Romanian girls could do excellent bars work (especially Daniela Silivas, the 1988 Olympic uneven bars champion), and even in the earlier era of the Karolyis the Romanians were excellent on bars with , of course, Nadia Comaneci and Teodora Ungureanu who won gold and silver respectively on the uneven bars at the 1976 Olympics - Romania even won the uneven bars in Team Finals at those Games! Emilia Eberle was also excellent on bars in her day and medalled at the 1980 Olympics on that event. I remember that the complaints of mediocre bars work for Romania began under Belu. By the 2000 Olympics it was painfully obvious that as a team they were little more than mediocre on bars. Individually, they still had some exceptional uneven bars specialists but they were growing fewer and far between. It's sad and frustrating to see a formerly great team struggle on what was once a strong event for them. Rant over.

They are all one team called Romania, despite the club power games these adults choose to engage in, when they walk into real senior competition no one knows what “Constanta” is.

so sad for Alexia, she was making visible progress last year, but here (only dismount is shown) she looked labored and out of shape. Alexia had regressed form and could barely make it through the routine. I seriously wonder how many hours a day these girls train in this Constanta club gym and what their conditioning program looks like. They need a proper elite training program.

I can’t believe the coach left Florea during UB and walked away 😮. Omg what if she would have fall .. disgusting attitude … please Someone take Florea from Constanta

But its the girls who were offered to join the Izorvani group and the girls (influenced by their parents and coaches ofc) who refuse to leave Constanta. The resutls are awful, but it seems like the coaches just don't care. Genuinenly confused what their goals are at the moment. They could all be so much better at this sport with proper elite training.

The girls don't want to betray their coaches and are completely brainwashed into believing club pride and having "real Romanian" coaches is ideal. The girls are simply wasting their careers. They didn't even have these routines together until 2 weeks before this competition.

@@Romaniangymfan07It's heart-breaking. I've seen an improvement in the Izvorani girls since the Dutch coaches joined the team. These girls, not so much. I know it's early in the season, but yikes.
