I did just place 2nd last weekend in a local jackpot in the #3 division. It was a good feeling coming home with more money than I originally came out with! I'm heading in all the videos. Theres a few that are closer up so you can really see what im doing. The others are from kinda far away. But once again, Thank you very much for helping me out! Your videos have helped out tremendously!

This has to be the best video I’ve ever watched I absolutely love it. I have been trying to explain this to so many people that just don’t understand what I’m trying to convey! Thank you so very much. But now here’s the next question how can a one get to somehow get consistent on roping the sweep? I practice with a gentleman that has to be the most consistent catcher ever but sweeps EVERY TIME. And I come home feeling like I just can’t get anything done. I am a low number heeler and want to approve in every which way and need to learn how to catch behind headers like this. So how can I improve my game to catch the sweeper?

Good to see on "paper".I feel better knowing that it wasn't always me w/ bad horse position.Trying to rope feet on a "soft handled" steer isn't easy.I haven't roped in 9 years since I moved away from all my roping buddies.Old horse finally bough the farm a little over a year ago.Need a new horse & need to try to get back into it.Entered 1 jackpot & on the 2nd run, I dropped my loop & it fell over my horse's head.It was a catch, just not the right animal.Great videos!

Alright, I watched some of your runs and there are a couple things. Your horse is constantly climbing. Meaning: his isn't just staying flat especially when you turn the steer. Then he isn't giving you any counter arc off of your right leg when you turn. Think of it like this: Take your left hand and make a slight C with it. Now take your hand from your chest to the computer screen and half way there go left. Your horse's body needs to be shaped like your hand when you start your handle.

read bottom reply first then this one..............this is called a counter arc/bend. reason: going left while horse is "counter bent" to the right. What does this do? it sets your horse up to face. If you take your hand and do the same thing but this time keep it straight and rigid and then turn it left at the corner and then turn it back like you are pretending to face up...see how choppy and hard that is? Think about how your whole horse's body must feel. Ill make you a video on this!

Michael, I sure appreciate you watching the vids! Hope they are helping you out. If you have any specific things you'd like to see or have questions about, let me know! My goal is to help the working guy find the time and get good quality practice.

Good luck Michael. Here's one thing you can do. On the HeelOMatic, just do big circles for a while in a lope. Don't swing or anything at first. Let your horse flatten out and level out and quit that climbing stuff. Then pick up your rope and rope the dummy. I'm not talking like 2 circles, I mean like 30. Wear him out, get him thinking about working instead of being a dick. Don't be hard on him and go 9-0, just a nice lope until he evens out and settles in. Then start roping. youll see the change

That is a problem for me right now.. working two jobs, trying to keep the wife happy and low stress while shes going to nursing school and trying to find time to rope! I'm having trouble facing right now, sometimes I can get around to face and other times I cant seem to get it. My wife videos my runs and they're on her page. If you have time, maybe watch a few and let me know what you think I can work on? just search misskristina25. I would really appreciate it!

3rd in the set...read other two first....so take your hand straight and rigid and make a fake head horse run. notice when you try to face your fingers (horses head and saddle horn) swap back to you..When you do this imaginary run with your hand in a C, when you face up all you have to do is roll your wrist around a little further and BAM your horse faces...Same with your horses body. when bent, he can roll his ass end right around. when rigid he has to pull his front end around...that's wrong
