TEAM TALK: THE PHOENIX BOATS DIFFERENCE (ZXL, ELITE II, XE)

My family just purchased a 921 Elite for me and my brother to fish college tournaments, local tournaments, and for my youngest brother (7yrs old) to fish in middle school, high school, and college. When looking at boats, I wanted an independent company who had an awesome reputation in the fishing industry. This left us with Basscat and Phoenix. Our dealer (Shout out to Last Chance Performance Marine, SoCal) spilled the entire line up between both companies. As Andy said, Phoenix is a TOP BOAT COMPANY. Phoenix stood out as their price point for a 21ft loaded boat was much lower than a 20ft Basscat without options. The 921 Elite came loaded WITH a custom cover and hot foot standard from Phoenix and the Cat didn’t come standard with covers or a hot foot. No knock to Basscat one bit, but our 921 Elite is every bit of a “tournament loaded boat” and significantly less in price than a fully loaded Cat. We also got to look at the new 2025 721 ZXL (loaded as well) and it was a beautiful boat but not exactly what we were looking for but the price point was pretty freaking good as well. Our 921 Elite: 250 ProXs Dual Powerpoles 12” Bobs Hydraulic Jackplate 1 AGM Cranking 3 Lithiums (TM) 1 Lithium (Electronics) E2 Wiring Heated Seats 10” Garmin/12” Helix @ Console 2nd Console Padded Front deck 12” Garmin/12” Helix @ Bow Minnkota Quest Keel Gaurd Hellos Wheels/trailer package Trailer shocks I’m sure I’m missing a few things but all of that for less than a Basscat with a few options. I love our bird and don’t think you can beat it. SPEED, POWER, AND NO BRAKES BABY WOOOO!!!

1. How are the heated seats ? 2. Do they drain they drain the battery quickly?

@@chestophercolumbo4561 heated seats work well! And they don’t drain the battery too much as they are on a timer once the big motor is shut off. I always have piece of mind knowing that if I accidentally left them on, they auto shut off.

I have a 2022 819 pro with a 200 mercury.... incredible boat.. top end is 71mph... absolutely love it great fish and to tow

Yeah Phoenix boats are definitely nice for sure. A 19 ft with a 200 is a really good choice for a boat. In my opinion I love that size boats. And 19 ft class boats with 200 on it run with the 250hp boats

Wanted to give a suggestion for video idea, as you’ve mentioned in previous videos there were A LOT of Mercury optimaxs produced (I myself have one) since so many were produced what if y’all did a video of maybe something like “top 5 things to lookout for/maintenances/things to watch for when running the optis to help us ordinary joes know when something isn’t running right

I have a 2024, 21XE with a SHO. It’s by far the best riding and performing boat that I have been in. I’ve owned 2 Ranger 521L’s and have been in a Skeeter FXR21. They can’t hold a candle to it.

They still need to improve on somethings. No mass produce boat manufactures today are outstanding. How many times have you had to call Phoenix for warranty issues? Phoenix boats definitely knows how to market their product well to appeal to the fisherman. You said in this video that Phoenix is going to build 1000 boats, well let's see what happens to their Quality Control then. I'm not hear to put down Phoenix because they do make a good boat, but they do have issues that the consumer doesn't hear about.

They already to put out over 1000 boats a year. 5 boats per day. 5 days a week. All boats are built to order. The quality is very good. Watch a video on how the boats are made and the materials used. Pretty impressive.

Great video, but the 920Elite will not run 74-75 lol. Maybe empty with no gas or gear. Best I can get is 73 on a good good day.

Yeah I’ve done 75.5 by myself with maybe 1/4 tank of gas, but with 2 guy 72-73 in best conditions.

Andy Hello my name is James I watch all your videos. I think I may have a great video for you I am retired owner of a small auto body shop and mechanical repair facility. And I truly know what it takes to make a quality product. Phoenix boats I know our top notch and I know it takes an awful lot of time and effort and a very highly quality employees. Even if they do make 1000 boats for In the seventy thousand dollar range. For what they have invested these small companies are definitely not getting rich I am sure you can understand this. So if you Could somehow break down for people they might be able to understand why boats cost what they cost these days. Employees are definitely not cheap especially good ones that you can count on You know what I'm talking about. I would love to hear what you think of my idea. James
