Thank you! As a Frenchman, I keep saying this to Americans who don't seem to realize. We lack a bit of shooting and maybe some traditional PG, but Risacher & Wembanyama are great at creating shots for themselves and others, and Nolan Traoré can shoot like few young players, he's not afraid of anything. Maledon can create and defend. Coulibaly and Ntilikna are great, athletic defenders, and Bilal could be even more on the offensive side. Sarr and Salaün are athletic freaks and have ok shots. We have great talent all around!

And the generations after that will probably also bring good players in men & women basketball if we look at how dominants the french teams are in Euro U16-U18-U20 the last few years with numerous victories/finals. That's one hell of a roster for France in LA2028. The US Team can counter that lineup with TATUM, ADEBAYO, EDWARDS, DAVIS, BROWN, HOLMGREEN, CUNNINGHAM, FLAGG, BAILEY, HALIBURTON, MAXEY, BRUNSON, MITCHELL etc. Unfortunately for the US, no matter how imposing their team looks like in 2028, nobody in their lineup can stop a prime WEMBY by then!

Conversely, if you look at the American team, they don't have the it guy like LeBron, Steph or KD next olympics. You could call the Jays or Ant the next guys, but they're a full tier below all the actual generational superstars right now. America is incredibly deep, but they lack a Victor Wembanyama, a Luka Doncic or even a LeBron James for 2028. So this should absolutely be concerning for America in 2028. Their basketball hegemony will truly be put to the test in 2028.

It would be nice to have a Ryder Cup -like test series for example during the All-Star break or in the preseason where an All-American team would face an All-European lineup, or at least have your take what such a team would look like (hopelessly big ball but try to avoid filling the team with bigs 😂).

For every american in the comment, I'll explain to you why France is dominating youth basketball. First of all, european junior teams don't usually have high earnings if not for their performances, while American high school marketability focuses more on creating superstars, so European "academies" focus more on creating a winning team rather then on creating a media star, and that make European kids grow with a more team-centered style of playing. Basketball has always been popular in France but the thing that makes it better than other countries is the amount of black people. Black people have genetically always been more predisposed for basketball. On top of that, lots of European junior teams make the most talented kids, like Wemby, play Point Guard regardless of their size, making them more complete than american unicorns I think those are the reasons why France is becoming so strong in producing basketball talents

France is one of the very few countries that can combine african genetics and athleticism with first world resources, the exact reason why USA has been dominating for years

I love this channel bro but these guys want someone to dethrone us Americans so bad & it will never happen you get a couple great players & all of sudden they can beat the Americans 😂 knock it off bro as far as I can remember the games have always been close when we played good teams & will always be close bc what ppl fail to realize is that these teams have great chemistry they play together in every fiba tournament the games should be close we Americans get a new group of 12 players together for a week & a half and win gold every year in the Olympics against great players who play together yearly & have an HUGE advantage as far as chemistry goes. We should absolutely not be able to go to the Olympics with a team that been together for a week & a half & beat teams who have great players with great chemistry who know each others games who know where each others gonna be with their eyes closed not to mention off the court chemistry that matters as well. But yet we do every other year the IQ i would say is on the same level as far as our highest level players but the skill & talent gap is SO WIDE & that’s why we’re able to even do something like that this narrative that the gap is getting so much closer imo is just something euros make up in their own head to give themself a little hope haha which is not a bad thing whatever helps you sleep at night
