Let's face it, Tiafool felt the nerves (choked) because Zeverev couldn't hit a forehand and was ready to roll over. Hold twice in the second set and US holds the cup. What a weekend of tennis! I'm disappointed and pretty sad by so many negative comments re Tiafoe and Sheldon. Andy Murray said it best when talking about Davis Cup. He said tennis being such a individual sport, when results don't go your way/you have a real bad day spotlight can only be shone on you. The Davis Cup and The Laver Cup being a team event do away with that. They all still want to win, but not being their "day job" the overall result is not totally on their shoulders and that lets them enjoy the tournament in a different way. They have fun, laugh a lot, enjoy they matches and support each other 100%. They make the most of the tournament, as a team. A lifelong tennis fan, love these two tournaments for a different look at tennis and the players. A European fan, a win at last!

I really love how men's American tennis is coming back strong and great to see how they contributed to Team World, but I just hope they bring a little more professionalism with them in the future. This cup and any cup requires a lot of hard work and the pay off is big, even if you lose. Showing some respect for that would be nice. It is great that it seems like they get along well, but they are representing a professional sport at a level where most people will never get the chance to play in. The best of the best really so perhaps show that more in press conferences. This kind of made it feel like it was a big joke. Hope this makes sense. Still excited to see US men's tennis continue to rise up again!

tbf they're just coming off an unexpected and devastating loss to a team they probably cannot stand losing to, so this is how they cope with it.
