Right now I am heavy into Squad Leader...(45yrs) but miniatures and the game system is intriguing

A nice list and I have been tempted by the Swedes due to the Centurion and the Viggen, the later is one of my favourite fighters and looks so cool.

Great video as always! And a great looking army as well! The only thing that's a bit odd is that your infantry looks to be about 20 years too modern for the era with that kit on them but I guess if we ever get CV90s in a future book it'll make more sense! 🙂

First of all, I really hope you are well. Then a few comments about Swedish forces. Great video btw! As usual with Nordic forces, it seems that you must take allied units to get the reserve points needed in several missions. Same same with the Danes: they must take some West Germans. Probably, with a few more units added to the Nordic armies book, the need of allied units would disappear. I actually have in preparation a small video about it. Then, having spent 3 years in Sweden and 20 in Denmark, I have to be thematic: you should try a Swedish army (Mech rifles, Bandkanon, Viggens) with a Danish Leopard 1 allied formation. ;-)

Interesting idea, I should try and point that up. I have Norwegian leopard 1s though, might not fancy painting a whole new set of leopards.

I have gathered a swedish force that is very infantry based, but I can also make a s-tank or centurion formation. I recommend adding the car unit with the Bill missles. They are fairly cheap for a good punch firepower. I for sure will have 2 units in my lists.
@AllMiniaturesGreatandSmall8 ай бұрын
I do need to add those cars. They do seem pretty good for the points.

Great looking army. I don't collect Swedes, but if I did I don't think I could resist S-tanks and Grippens. Good luck in your bat rep.

I took swedes to a local tournament about a month ago and ended up taking first. I'm currently running an s tank formation but I want to try the infantry formation soon.

How many points did you play in the tournament
@AllMiniaturesGreatandSmall8 ай бұрын
That's great, the S Tank is certainly a good looking tank. I'm glad you made it work. Did you have to attack in any mission?
@crimsonfist11498 ай бұрын
95 pts@@richardsanders6135

First two missions I was defending, last mission ended up being a meeting engagement. My opponent also chose to do night fighting which made for a pretty interesting game since he was playing US and swedes don't have a ton of night vision @@AllMiniaturesGreatandSmall

I think you are right to go with the infantry company and to avoid the iconic S-Tanks. In Team Yankee they are very good but they are also very specialised. Once shifted out of cover they are far too vulnerable. One shortcoming I noticed is that you don't have any reconnaissance. Not as important in TY as it is in FOW, but still.... I like your list but I would get rid of the Finnish T72's and put in another platoon of Centurions instead. With the extra points you could have all three infantry platoons with the mighty Bill, add a reconnaissance platoon (which also increases your anti-helicopter capabilities) and get a platoon of "puppies". Swedish jeep mounted RCL's are really good against APC's and they are cheap as well. It would also thicken up your core formation too.

Where dat recon at?
@lesp19648 ай бұрын
@seanyoung3656 Change the T-72FM2 for T-72FM1 , then add 3x Pbv 302 Scout and another Bill upgrade , is one way to do it .

I kinda like this suggestion!

I have a Swedish army I'm playing in my first tournament in April it's 95pts but still not sure what to play any ideas

Personally I'm leaning more toward mech Infantry for a more competitive list. But the 40% reserve missions do make it tough.

@@AllMiniaturesGreatandSmall What about a Strv 104 formation with 2 inf units , can alwalys take a Finish inf unit for the 3rd one ?

Nice to see you doing more Infantry. Tank only is for Noobs.😂 Those alternative Infantry models look a bit toyish to my eyes. But that is personal preference.
@AllMiniaturesGreatandSmall8 ай бұрын
Infantry are a little more simplistic then normal Battlefront models for sure. I do like Infantry battles but it does make for a longer battle report.

As a Swede it HURTS ;) to see some Russian shit at the back.. lol Even if they are Fiinnish.. Well, much better but still.. Sounds like you can move from P-skott m/68 to 86 - the same as you guys bought and call AT-4.. ;) The Pbv 302´s 20 mm gun is old J 29 Tunnan fighter´s guns iirc.

It killed me too :) The only bright side was that the Fins had at least an interesting camo scheme.
