@Kamil S he wasnt filmed in fights since phones with cameras didnt exist back then genius that would be like asking for videos of jack dempsy's early boxing matches it just makes you sound stupid also if you want to see a fight he did have a sparring match on cameras and even with headgear his opponent dropped like a sack of hammers from one setup kick and the kick was so fast the camera barely caught it also he died in his late 20s given another 30 years he would have improved much more drastically given that before he died he already knew boxing wrestling grappling and multiple martial arts as the entire premise of jeet kune do is to use what's best to counteract a situation it isnt about style its about efficiency

@@ourtime-downhere6931 oh boy. Bruce lee is as real as it gets. The argument that “he wasn’t a fighter” just simply isn’t true. I totally agree that Stephen is always very entertaining but after watching this video I’m starting to seriously doubt his teaching abilities. After all, every single time he had Conan try this punch he failed to notice that he had the wrong foot forward. When doing a right handed Bruce Lee one-inch punch the proper stance is with the right foot well forward. Conan had the stance reversed every single time he practiced it and Stephen never seemed to notice.

it's because he wasn't doing the technique properly. Even Bruce did it differently than traditional Wing Chun. It's about inch power and in that specific technique you generate it by tilting your fist up, not down, and hitting with the bottom 3 knuckles.

Everytime you would see Bruce do it, someone was coming off of their feet, and to be able to generate that kind of force would take focus, power, and technique 99% of people just don't have. RIP to the GOAT of martial arts.

People went with his schtick the one inch punch is a scam
@gigistephens4633
@gigistephens4633 2 жыл бұрын
@@Scheboygan8767 for 9/10 people it sure is. It's definitely not a scam though. If you know anything about fighting, throwing a punch, and just knowing how to generate proper power you know this is possible. It's all in your feet, legs, and the thrust of the hips. The one inch punch is pretty much an illusion because whilst you are holding your fingers 1 inch from their chest, the way you sway your body into the punch is what makes the technique work. You're definitely moving more than one inch. So... I guess you're right and wrong at the same time. It's a counter intuitive move, making you think less is being done than what is actually happening. Pulled off with perfect timing, technique, speed, and power in the fashion Bruce performs it, it creates that perfect illusion that what you're seeing is impossible.

ChelleStation Steven goes way back in the early 80s where he was a teenage martial artist founded by the famous wushu champion jet li. Steven is one of the henchmen in the film dragon fight and the master where he either fought against jet li or be his stunt double during jet incident while filming. He also played donatello TMNT 2 n 3 in the 90s. Later on, he appeared in MK. I watched a lot action film n martial film as a kid growing up. So yeah, Steven hasn't age. Man, this guy look exactly the same. Asian people like us never age.

didn't he do WTF TKD? the olympic sport? Instead of the real TKD, ITF? If he did ITF TKD he would understand traditional martial arts better. WTF is intended for the olympics. There's no strikes to the face. ITF TKD is basically Korean kickboxing and is closely related to Karate. In fact, many of the forms come from Karate. Anyway Joe Rogan doesn't seem to know much about martial arts. He did the sport version of TKD, that's it. That's not much knowledge of the arts. I don't have that much more than him, but at least I did the real, martial version of TKD in high school for two years, so that's two years more experience than him in real martial arts.
@seraphinaaizen6278
@seraphinaaizen6278 4 жыл бұрын
@@neutrino78x Joe Rogan is a black belt. And he's a black belt in a style that people actually win fighting tournaments with consistently. There's a big reason why TKD isn't commonly used by professional fighters; because it's a lot of flash and flair and very little substance. And while it certainly looks pretty and you'll look like a complete badass if you just HAPPEN to be lucky enough to pull of a TKD technique and actually land it on someone, for the most part it's a complete waste of time because the odds of hitting someone who knows how to defend themselves is almost nil.

Bruce Lee made is a point to study all the effective martial arts around. I have no doubt that if BJJ and Muay Thai were at the center stage of the martial arts world at his time he would've undoubtedly have mastered those arts as well. I think that like Floyd Mayweather, one of Bruce's greatest strengths lie with his work ethic - he got so Good by outworking his competition.
