No no. It's gotten old. It's all she does. She doesn't add to the humor whatsoever. Whereas Gourley riffs off of Conan and delivers hilarious improv jokes, all Sona does is scoff at Conan's jokes. I get that that's her shtick and that she's just an assistant and not a naturally funny person, but when comedians are doing their thing...let them. Her exhaustive expression instantly derails the comedy.

Im not sure why theyre surprised about the success. To me the medium is perfect to deliver conans humor. besides remotes/travel show the longform, improvisational and informal format suits conan brilliantly. gourley and sona work incredibly well as cohosts. 1 seasoned improvisor, 1 close personal relation. both know when to go with it or be the straight-man. its great chemistry. I stopped watching latenight altogether after stewart left and it devolved into 8 diff. takes on the same trump joke. the talk show format became tiring. Hell, to this day, "Insert At 90 Degrees", "Strawberry Raincoat", and "Birth Control" are basically the soundtrack to my accomplished horse racing jockey career. Did you run a poll? I've been watching Conan since my freshman year of college in 1995 and the only person who has managed to annoy me in all those years is Sona. She's an assistant whose been thrust into the limelight due to her relationship with Conan. Not because of her comedic skills (of which she is severely lacking). I absolutely love the improv between Conan and Gourley. It reminds me of the old off-the-cuff remotes on the Late Show and how those on the show who were naturally funny just played off of each other. All Sona does is laugh constantly and/or scoffs at Conan's jokes. She adds no comedic flair of her own and actually derails whatever improv Conan is having with either Gourley or the guest. An example of this is on the recent live podcast when Jordan Schlansky made a cameo appearance and started hilariously going on about Italy as he does, Gourley and Conan were playing off of him and laughing and adding to the humorous vibe, whereas all Sona could do was make her typical annoyed expressions in hopes that those who accept the low hanging fruit will find that funny.
