An evening in a hotel room with Brando and Travolta? Oh Sean, . . . Oh Sean honey. . . That wasn't CHESS. . .

Marlon Brando loved to play chess since he was a kid and he was good at it and passionate about it (he played chess almost all the time). It was most likely really chess.

There is another version to that story, according to which Garcia-Marquez refused that deal with them, and ended up sealing a deal with the producer Scott Steindorff. The movie Love in the Time of Cholera was stared by Javier Bardem and Giovanna Mezzogiorno. Despite its artistic quality, it wasn’t a commercial success in America, but did great in Italy and South America.

Anybody else thinking that Marlon and Sean may have done more than just drinking and telling stories that night....the inclusion of John Travolta into the story only makes the suspense that much higher, huh !!!!

I think he might be in an early-stage neurodegenerative disease of some kind. It might explain the shaking and trembling voice. Years and years of cigarettes, booze, and coke would not have helped at all.

@@Theomite I don't know what he has but he's stuttering a lot. Didn't do that until recently. Unless it's stage fright, of course, it can be nerve wracking sitting in front of all those people.
