"Appearing on-screen with Conan wasn't something I was necessarily hoping for. It was really organic. Conan's good at using the people around him for comedy. So he started having me in bits on-air. I think the biggest one was one day when I lost my mug, and I wrote a very scathing email to the entire staff, which was a complete abuse of that email list - every single person who worked on the show and everybody from the network, all the executives - everyone. And I was just like, "Where is my mug?" And an hour later Conan shows up at my desk and he's got a camera crew. From there, it just became a thing. I think what Conan appreciates about me is that I don't try to ham it up for the camera. I don't really change who I am. I don't have any aspirations of being on camera. I don't have hopes of becoming the next Conan. I think that if all of it ended tomorrow and he wasn't using me for bits or I wasn't on the podcast, I would be fine - and I think that he likes that about me. I also think our dynamic is just fun to watch. When you put a camera on it, people are like, that can't be real. And then when they realize that it's real, they're curious. I think what fascinates people is that authority is a complicated concept in Conan's and I's dynamic. He's the boss - he hired me, he pays me, and ultimately he can fire me. But at times, I really don't act like it. I talk back to him. I forget important things. I tend to disregard things he feels are important. It should be a weekly reality show and then another show with just Jordan and Conan, maybe only once a month, and they could go on a different outing each time. Or review things or something? But I think it's most funny when they just interact so it would probably be best if they went on day trips or out to restaurant and things like that like they've done, but a weekly show hahaha... Underrated bit of Conan's 'character' humour in this remote - first time round he says he's the spiritual leader for over 3000 Conan staff members, second time round the number grows to 4000, third time it's burgeoned to over 10k, even after the HR lady told him it's around 185 - the bit itself is a classic Michael Scott mix of delusion, exaggeration and narcissism 😄 but more importantly he can't even keep his own delusions consistent.. Just love it 😂
