But yet he listens to the animal experts with great interest. When it's just a normal interview, where he doesn't have to deal with animal guests that is, he allows a lot of space for his guests to talk while listening with genuine interest, and saves his questions and comments for when they're done talking/answering.

The black throbbing spot on the crocodile's lower jaw/neck is a gular gland which is also called a musk gland, though it seems to be more important for the crocodile's hunting for prey (by using the secretion as a lure) rather than for attracting mates.

I worked at a store that specialized exotic birds. For awhile we had a black palm cockatoo. They are amazing birds up close. There bills are completely different than any other cockatoo or parrot. I could watch one all day. The bird’s owner had to find her a new home for some reason. She was soon sold for $18,000.
