Just a quick tip, when you are not using your washer if you keep the door up and that drawer out where you put the laundry soap in, the air will dry them out so that gunk doesn’t get so bad next time. The moisture in that little dispenser drawer is what causes that gunk to accumulate.

Our laundry room is the next room on my list! I homeschool my two kiddos so it will probably be Christmas break or a free weekend in December before I get to it. I use the washer cleaning tabs every 3 months and take out the compartments to wash as well. I also always leave the lid to my washer open so it doesn’t trap the moisture inside and cause mold.

Amy, the blue tray for bleach comes out too. You might need a small flat tip screw driver or a butter knife to pry it up to be able to grab it and pull it out. You always have the best ideas for gifts and drcoations.

Hi Amy great video! I clean my washer once every 2 months…I use vinegar weekly to clean my washer but when I deep clean I will use CLR afterward to deep clean, it is great and my washer smelled so good and clean afterward. I saw a video where the lady deep cleaned her washer and getting under the rubber as much as possible. She then used that CLR and it works really well. Anyway have a good week!

I legit just took our washer completely apart and power washed it out in our yard. We have abnormally hard water that causes buildup pretty quickly. So a good deep cleaning is needed about every 6 months! Won't lie though, I kinda enjoy it!!

When I clean my washer, I sprinkle 1/2 a box of baking soda in the drum and then I fill up the detergent and fabric softer slots with white vinegar. Run it on hot on the bulky setting so it will fill the whole washer up. The baking soda and vinegar pull stuff out of the holes in the drum, you’ll have to wipe it up after the cycle is done.
